Yea I just thought of that, we have consumer protection laws here, unlike there I guess. I know anything international cant be disputed via Visa because of Quality....So dented steels have to be eaten when purchased by anyone other than Amazon

Realize that parcels are not carried by hand from country to country, or cross country. They are co-mingled with heavy objects in containers and trucks with depths of up to seven feet or more.

In transit, your package will be buried by others of various weights, with the heaviest held out to be sorted manually. The United States Postal Service accepts packages up to seventy pounds. Your steelbooks will be placed among and under packages of weight from ounces to 10, 20, or more pounds.

Shipping steelbooks in sturdy cardboard boxes (double boxed being better) with proper packing, using bubble packing is ideal and essential to lessen the chances of damage.

I rarely purchase steelbooks from sellers I've never done business with, and hold my breath each time I do.
Its a BOX or BUST!!!

Those boxes I use I get for like .30 each from JIT packaging, they are rather sturdy as the edges have double walled cardboard. So far never had an issue.

The priority ones are best!!

Not only are USPS Priority boxes sturdy, but Priority mail gets segregated and processed with priority given over all lesser classifications of mail, with critical sort and processing timetables, during the entire trip.

And I must say, nobody does it better than "jwbud"!

His care and quality is always amazing!

Thank You Jeremy!

We have Consumer Protection Laws here as well. The problem is that there is a distinct Difference between a "Retail" Purchase and a "Private" Purchase. Both Situations are handled differently.

In this case, the question is "Was it neglegence?" or "Was it simply bad luck with the Transit?" Roach probabaly should have discussed the Terms of Shipping prior to purchasing.

I definitely agree with this, especially with International Shipping!! I only use bubble mailers for Amarays shipped domestic (within germany). ALL Steels get boxes (even domestic).

Good to hear that Roach.

And about this:

In the future it maybe be more wise to add a condition to the seller saying that IF you couldn't fix it then he would HAVE to issue a refund.

So that way, before you opened the package you can cover your butt.

(At least that's what I would've done.)

And if the seller refused I would have kept the item sealed and opened a dispute (and with you having 100% positive with more ratings than the seller-things would have gone in your favor (not that they haven't now )

Cheers.
