I am really looking forward to Hostel and Hostel II coming out on Tuesday. I have never seen either movie but I have heard a lot about the first one from one of my roommates.

Well, one of the greatest horror flicks of all time was Tod Browning's FREAKS. There has never been a successful video transfer (bad PQ, bad AQ). Blu could clean that up and truly restore the film.

FREAKS is not a genre horror film. It is a unique film. If you have never seen it, no matter what you can imagine, you can't imagine this one.

Evil Dead II!!! The Descent was pretty crappy by my standards..... the only way that movie could scare you was if you are startled by loud noises following a period of silence.

I love Freaks! It looks like it is out on DVD, I will have to pick it up. I have the LD version and have seen it on Turner Classic Movies. Otherwise scariest movie? Nothing in movies scares me, but I love horror movies.

8 Films to Die For would be the Horrorfest movies from Lionsgate. I wish they would have, but some of them weren't the greatest looking at the theater, remember these are all LOW budget movies.

Scary? What's scary is who the real monsters are in this film.
This film is really a work of art. BTW, I saw that a DVD release has a couple "alternate endings". I may have to check that out. I have only seen the "standard ending" that was in the later theatrical releases. Otherwise, I want it restored and in Blu.

This movie interests me but I have never seen it, can one of you sum it up for me?

No. Not without posting spoilers.

But Tod Browning takes you into the curious world of a circus side show, a freak show, with a few twists.

The story is reminiscent of some of the stories in the now-extinct Creepy magazine. (I have a friend who owns the first 2 years.)
