While I am glad Ireland denied England the chance for a Grand Slam, Wales REALLY needs to fire the coach and go back to the drawing board. The team feels stale and this tournament really showed where they are lacking.

BT Sport won exclusive Pay TV rights to show the European Champions Cup & Challenge Cup for UK & Irish viewers from 2018/19 until the 2021/22 season.

These new rights mean it would be taken off Sky Sports who share the current rights with BT.

I do think it's the right way forward to show games on free-to-air tv, Premiership rugby are doing the same this year with several games on channel 5. I don't think the mighty Quins will win it this year but I can dream

Some big announcements have taken place this week regarding the Guinness Pro14 rugby tournament which is played between rugby clubs in Ireland, Wales, Scotland, Italy & South Africa.

In the UK; Premier Sports will become the principal rights holder of the Pro14 showing a total all 152 matches from it's 21 rounds. All of the matches on Premier Sports will be broadcast in HD. Seperately Freesports will broadcast 21 games free to air which equates to one game a week from each of the 21 rounds. FreeSports will also relaunch their channel in HD on Sky & Virgin Media from July. There is also the likelihood that FreeSports HD will be on Free to Air Satellite or Freesat through the UK spot beam as well.
