Dont think it'll be a Play.com exclusive, as it would be in the item title on their.

You'd think this would be the flagship-release for 3D Blu-Ray.
Probably will be, but of course they can't wait with bringing out this hit on home-video, even if in 2D only.

I think I'll just go with this, it's a nice package.
The 3D-version will probably come at some point.

Damage-yes,I won't pass this one up, either. Avatar is being positioned to be the title to be a major tool in encouraging 3D adoption, and given its amazing 3D render, I look forward to it. But this SB, even if 2D will not escape me-I've always loved the main cover art used to promote the book, sound track,etc. The film is not without its flaws, but I just saw it for the 3rd time, as part of AMC Theater's Best Picture showcase (they show all 10 Best Pic nominees, in a fun 2 day event for us movie nuts

), and I still enjoyed it. Good huntin'

Yeah, I like the look of this Steelbook too, and I'm not a collector of them.
That it has more extras like cards and such definitely makes it more attractive to me.
Plus, I haven't seen it yet and this will no doubt be stellar transfer, or many many people will be angered.
The trailer on the Play-website kinda angered me though...
Can I say... THE MATRIX?...
But whatever, the style is different and I'll just watch it for the visuals and such anyway.
The female Avatar is most interesting though...

Maybe it just looks bad in the image, and in reality it'll look awesome... I dunno. But I'm happy its steelbook, even if the cover does suck. The face is too close up...

Nah, they designed that artwork that way.
It's kind of like a logo, the face of that Avatar. Sort of "a la Terminator" or something like that.
You know, it's a little cliché.
But I do prefer this over other even more cliché "compilation artworks" I've see.
This one's nice and clean, it has the title, 'Avatar', and then an actual Avatar behind it.
Except, like someone pointed out before, the bar is pretty ugly.
But at least it's pretty close to "Avatar-blue" and not like bright baby-blu or something.
It could have been even cleaner without the bar, but I bet it's nice if you have a bit of that shine of the steel.

i get the whole logo thing... i just think if the whole face was there, it'd look better. plus, is that even Jake or Neytiri's face? or is it some random Na'vi's?

maybe i'm just complaining too much...
