Check out the tube glow on that little Roth

BTW, I'm waiting on Sean to show up to do some wire management for me.

Compared to the basement set up, it sounds miniscule! The Roth struggles to drive the 110s at loud levels but is so smooth at low to medium listening levels.

Well you did one smart thing and got rid of that Toshiba. Wire management is going to be awhile at your place. Need to get this tuition paid/figured out. Besides I'm working on wire management now. The sc-05 gone left things a mess.

The better Paradigm speakers are really quite good, and a step above the other manufacturers listed in the poll. Of companies not listed, my personal favorites are Vandersteen and Dynaudio. They make truly great audiophile stuff.

Nah...The toshiba would have been fine for the guest bedroom but oh well... I hate doing wire management and there's always an upgrade(let the cat out of the bag ) or some in home demo on gear at my place that the wires always get's swapped.

I bet it is smooth on the low & med. Volume .

I can't Vote in the Poll for this thread . Bostons aren't on the list

I bought my current car new..... ordered it with the options I wanted, in a color I had never seen in person..... and I never drove it, or a similar model of it prior to receiving it..........

EDIT: I guess I 'blind bought' a car

Despite all of this, I wouldn't buy any audio equipment that you consider "high end" without auditioning it first........

Perhaps look at some horns and some ribbons, and some electo's etc..... and decide what type of sound you prefer..... then shop the brands that make them.

Amen Beta Man. I did too! Thiel was my first taste of true high-end and audiophile grade speakers.I listened to them in my cousin's HT back in 2000 and was just blown away. Sadly, Jim Thiel passed a few months ago and the company will never be the same IMO.

Nor mine, but I guess that our choices are too expensive.
