I have the game imported, and it looks better than the Youtube videos I posted. But with that being said, low budget games are not made for graphics, and is only on PS3 because the companies who are part of this game believe that PS3 was the best option for better sales, gameplay, and just well more of what PS3 owners in Japan would buy this game on. Plus since it's niche, that means it's prety much a game for just like turn-based RPG fans and pretty much fans of the companies this game is part of so basically it's not going to have a great amount of sales for it and these companies know that despite how good the game is but can still recover the money spent on developing it even if it can't sell like 300,000 copies.

Hyperdimension Neptunia Gets A Sexy Limited Edition In Korea, NIS America Limited Edition Version Isn't Quite So Sexy But Still Worth It. Coming To America February 2011

Quote:
It might be winter time, but is dreaming about sunshine and sandy beaches. They picked up Hyperdimension Neptunia for Korea and bundled a giant beach towel in the limited edition.

The PlayStation 3 game comes out just in time for late Christmas shoppers on December 24. Other items in the package include a visual art book, soundtrack, and the PlayStation 3 game for 65,000 won ($56).

Confirms American's limited edition comes with a hardcover artbook and that it will get a February 2011 release(though maybe their online store might add something cool for people who order it there).

I really want both versions now.

American Premium Edition for Hyperdimension Neptunia will be available at any store that sells this game so I guess that includes Amazon and maybe Best Buy too if they plan to carry it. So it's not like Atelier Rorona where the premium box was only for Gamestop. For B&M stores, no Premium Edition for Canada though so will probably have to get it from the NISA Online Store.

Plus speaking of the NISA Online Store, their pre-order bonus is a deck of playing cards.

I am in the same boat!

Really wish Amazon would put this up for pre-order...

This game does look sweet and all, but do they have a particular reason for all females?

Probably trying to be unique since there are not many RPGs with all female main characters or for that matter all female characters for the whole game. Arcana Heart is an all female fighting game with anime-style characters, Rumble Roses is also an all female fighting game even if it's more like wrestling.

Plus for playing the game in Japanese, it does seem to me like it does have that kind of fanservice comedy that you can only get with just females plus has other kinds of comedy included in it too. Plus of course some of the characters look very cute who act kind of moé like the couple of lolis like Gust, Neptune in human form, Red(the DLC character), and some are also pretty sexy like the Console Goddesses like Black Heart and Green Heart.

Is this game getting widespread release or is this a niche title with very limited availability? It's odd that it's about a month from release without an Amazon listing.

Niche title will be niche, but this is also premium edition, so obviously there won't be a whole lot of copies. Plus NIS America usually always don't post up pre-orders till a month in advance since it's not like many people will pre-order it anyways and don't really plan to ship many copies to begin with since it's niche and not like it's going to sell like over 100,000 copies. But do think the only stores will carry it are just their online store website, Gamestop/EB Games, Amazon, maybe Best Buy, and possibly a few other smaller companies since they're titles are never really that wide-spread.

Then once it sells out, there may not be anymore copies unless it sells out fast. With niche titles, it's almost like either buy them right away, or you may miss out or may have to pay like a overcharged price on the internet for being rare and OOP.

Moonphase--did you get a chance to check the "upcoming Sony Published games" thread in the sticky section? I had a question about the game Catherine I thought you would be able to answer--thanks....

I'm psyched about that one even though I don't really know much about it. What I've seen so far is really enticing though

Fan service yes, but it's more fan service we're pretty much used to in JRPGs that are Teen rated(plus not like it's full of fan service, just a few scenes). Rumble Roses was just a very Mature rated fan service which Hyperdimension Neptunia isn't even close to.

But of course Neptunia has other kinds of fan service that are not perverted like for instance Gust is so adorable

I have been looking forward to this game for many months & still no Amazon listing. So I am looking for advice on ordering this game elsewhere as far as hasselfree & great packaging. Should I try ordering from NIS or Gamestop who has the game listed? Thanks in advance!

If this isn't a good reason to shop at NIS America's online store, I don't know what is.
