My last clip. This is of The Day That Never Comes from the disk. It gives an idea of what to expect as far as editing goes. Enjoy.

As far as I'm aware, Cunning Stunts, S&M, and the Live Sh*t concerts were shot on film. I personally wonder will we finally see some sort of remaster of their entire catalog. I'd love to see Kill Em All and And Justice For All properly mixed. |

Their post stated that they finished their contract with WB and managed to get the rights to their entire catalog. They then setup their own co and are doing it themselves, with a distribution partner in place. Probably the best place for a band like them. They'll sell on their name alone. They don't need the big marketing dollars anymore that a record co can over charge for. Plus they do all the recordings on their own dime now, so what's the point of a co like WB being involved now? Wave of the future for big bands.

No. Other than distribution deals with different companies depending on what part of the world it is, Rhino in the US, they are 100% independent and they have 100% control of their music. This is why the Quebec Magnetic set is being sold as cheaply as it is because instead of getting a few pennies on the dollar for everything they sell, they're getting probably 80-85 cents on the dollar if not more.
My suspicion is that as long as they're independent, which should be for the rest of their careers, you'll likely see any new albums selling on CD for 7-9 US dollars. At some point they're gonna re-release their entire catalog under this label according to the press release so I would expect those albums to be sold on CD for around that price range as well and perhaps a little cheaper. |

I really liked the Nimes France Blu ray (despite the camera cutting away from Kirk's solos) but, the Big 4 concert was kind of eh, in my opinion. I Hope they release some old concerts on blu ray and a remastered ...And Justice For All, my favorite Metallica album. 2013 will mark the 30th anniversary of Kill em all and the 25th for ...And justice for all, so I guess we'll see.

Yeah, true... but I don't see the sense in cancelling the order I have for $11.19 with free 2 day shipping, vs. $15.99 plus over $10 for standard ground shipping. No thank you.

I'd be satisfied with simply having better mixes done of some of the early albums. Especially And Justice For All. The album was in a sense bastardized in its mixing stage because they totally stripped the album of almost all its bass sound as a way of proving to Jason Newsted that he didn't just "walk into the perfect spot" and this is the reason why the vast majority of the Justice songs sound so much better live.
