I just picked mine up at Best Buy and decided against the exclusive. It was just the book packaged in with the Blu-ray but I figured since I will probably never read it it will just be something else taking up space in my house so I just got the regular copy.

That leaves me cold. The classic book covers were best.

I was pretty impressed with this movie. When it hit theaters I had no interest but thought I'd give it chance today. I didn't really have high expectations but Jack Black was fantastic and it was much funnier than I expected. Lots of subtle humor which is my favorite. 3.8/5.

My only complaint really was that they didn't reference more of the books I specifically loved. The ones they features heavily weren't that high on my list, except Werewolf of Fever Swamp. I wanted to see some Monster Blood gigantism!!

I purchased the Best Buy exclusive this evening without previously viewing this film. Having read quite a good amount of the goosebumps books and watching the television series when I was younger really made it very enjoyable for me. I recognized many of the monsters and thought that the movie was a lot of fun. I definitely recommend it to anyone who grew up with these books.

They referenced a lot of books, but they were background characters. I think it was monster blood blob near the end, who ate the broken down carnival. I could be wrong.

Just bought the 3D blu-ray set from Best Buy (last copy they had at that particular store too).

I love how Sony is now using the UK/Arrow Video style cases for their 3D combo packs. Make them feel much more special.

Nah, it was the blob that ate everyone. I still really enjoyed the movie, either way.

I noticed the Monster Blood absence as well. There were definitely a few more books I would have liked to see, but they did cover a lot.

Got my copy from Best Buy with the bonus book. Great deal! Those books are usually $7 on their own.

What advice would you give to me if I want to wait for or find a good deal on the 3D version?

This upcoming Saturday? Hopefully one can get the opening week price match from Amazon before the week ends.

Hey guys, I bought the blu/DVD/digital combo pack and can't find my blu Ray remote, even if I did it's an older blu player and hasn't played the new ones...I really want to see the deleted scenes. Anyone know where I can find them online?

I rented this one and really enjoyed it. It was funnier than I expected and I like that it didn't take itself too seriously. Slappy (not a dummy) was great! Eventual purchase, but since its a Sony movie I'll wait for a save station deal or less than $10.

I assume it's for storage reasons in Sony's case. They also did the same for Pixels last year.

There's plenty of room. I'd take superior audio at the expense of a slightly more compressed video. It's not like the 3D discs normally include the extras too.

Why 5.1 too? No excuse not to have 7.1 if not Atmos!
