I'd also like to add my two pence that that blu-ray cover is atrocious.

Bummer. With all the cool 80's music in this movie, it's a shame this movie doesn't appear to have a Stereo soundtrack despite what IMDB says. Checked the Laserdisc, VHS, Beta, DVD, and even CED for any signs of a stereo symbol. No on all counts.

This Bluray release has the same issue the DVD release had, the scene with Willie Aames and Heather Thomas on the couch is supposed to be completely dark so you can't see Heather Thomas is dressed, this sets up the photo gag at the end of the movie. Other than that it's a quality release.

I just finished watching my Olive Films Blu-ray of Zapped!

Scott Baio (Charles in Charge television series) plays a nerdy high school student who acquires telekinetic powers after a laboratory accident. This film, which is generally known as "that other movie where a telekinetic teenager wreaks havoc at a high school prom", was a favorite of mine during my puberty years, mostly thanks to Heather Thomas (although a body double was used for her big scene at the prom). Willie Aames, who later co-starred with Baio in Charles in Charge, plays the reckless sidekick who gets the telekinetic lead into a series of fun misadventures. The gorgeous Felice Schachter plays a similarly nerdy love interest.

This was my first time watching Zapped! in almost 30 years, and it's just as awesomely stupid and enjoyable as it was back then.

The picture quality and sound quality are both surprisingly good!

let's just be honest about it and admit that there are only two reasons to watch this movie...

It's worth noting that the beautiful Corinne Bohrer, who starred in The Beach Girls and Joysticks, can be seen in a minor supporting role in Zapped! as one of the Heather Thomas's friends.

Corinne Bohrer also starred in a ton of television shows back in the day, and she is still active in the industry.

I loathe that Blu Ray cover. Although, I'm not that fond of the DVD or original theatrical images either.

Always loved this movie. Oddly enough, I saw it multiple times as a kid and never saw Carrie until last night so I had no idea it was inspired from King's story. The sequel's fun as well with cast such as Linda Blair and Lyle Alzado; it'd be nice to have on blu.

That art is from the original theatrical one sheet from its 1982 theatrical run. There were protestors who found the original poster art to be offensive and racy. So it was recalled and replaced with a more generic looking poster.

I honestly and have always preferred this poster art. It sets the tone of the film, perfectly in my opinion. Typical for an early '80s high school comedy.

I have Zapped on CD. Released by Atlantic / Regency in 1996 - I think it might have been a Philippines release.

No barcode and they list it as a US release but the text infers it is manufactured in the Philippines. I smell a pirate release.
