Hopefully this is good in the way that they are selling many more in blue. I hardly doubt they had more HDDVD in stock in the store.

Just to piggy back onto this thread -- Wal-Mart.com is showing the 5-disc Blade Runner version as out of stock, but it does have the HD DVD version. Both SKUs are only available online.

I suspect it is not a dleay as much as they are missing a shipment. I ordered 5 new releases this week. And the ones for BV and Fox have shipped. The 3 from WB have not. So it looks like they did not get a shipement that they made. Since one of them was on our poll of titles for the week and got a whole 6 votes. And since this is the time of year that things are crazy with all shipping companies I will give them a little break. That is as long as my titles ship by tomorrow. Otherwise it will be after Christmas to get them.

let's hope it's selling out, not a distribution error on warner's part.

I don't believe it. If in fact it is MIA at these places, I think we'll see the HDDVD version get beat handily.

Either that or WB is going HDDVD and cut off shipments

Around here nobody seems to think that Blade Runner is a big release. CC had 1 copy each on Blu and HD, but none with the cases. BB had 6 on Blu, 4 on HD, and again none with the cases. They had a ton of cases on SD. Sucks

I pre-ordered it on Amazon as soon as I saw it was available and I also have prime, but they still shafted me. So I have some interesting stories about my quest to find a copy. I called everywhere and the only place that had them in stock was BB and CC...so I made my trek to BB because it's closer. I get there and they said they have been selling fast, but there was still 3 copies available though they did warn me that their system doesn't update for 10 min...well all 3 copies sold in that time. Bad for me, but cool for BD...anyhow they didn't receive any copies on HD-DVD...and there was some pissed off red ants too. Anyhow off to CC where I ran into a few people with FOX titles in their baskets and I told them about the Amazon sale because they put a couple of them back like they were buying too much...so then they asked if a few titles were in the BOGO and I said yes so they took off to order at home. I found 2 copies of Blade Runner and I spent $10 over what I would've with Amazon, but it was worth it to see that they too had not received any copies in HD-DVD.

All that to say...which version of the film should I watch first?

I imagine it doesn't deserve that any more than OOTP did.

that's what I thought..

I mean, it looks cool and all with the suitcase you get, but come on, this movie just can't be worth a 5 star PQ and AQ

I'm pretty sure the True HD track sounds great, but compared to a movie like Spider-man 3 for example, I can't imagine being equally impressed

Same here

I ordered it on August 14, it has not been shipped, and no word when it will be shipped

Amazon is getting to be quite lousy. Most annoyed that they have been mis pricing customs declarations

When I cancelled my Amazon order this AM, I left them a polite, but direct communication about my dissatisfaction. I'm an Amazon Prime customer who ordered 1st day pre-order was available with one-day shipping and no shipping email as of this morning.
