Let me guess, all the Melissa McCarthy haters will be there opening weekend with their beloved MoviePass cards to see it, and will complain about it after. Calling it now.

I'll most likely see a double feature with Breaking In. I love that Debby Ryan is the mean girl in this one.

How can you tell if they hate her or just hate the movies she's in?
There's a difference.

I don't hate McCarthy or her movies but I will wait for Netflix or cable like I do for most of them. I'm actually more interested in this one just to see Debby Ryan and Gillian Jacobs though I am sure their roles are small.

Went to this tonight. If you like Melissa's other comedies, you'll enjoy this. Not as good as The Heat and Spy, but not as bad as Tammy. It's in the middle with Identity Thief and The Boss.

This film took 15-20 minutes to get funny but I ended up enjoying it. Gillian Jacobs actually has a pretty big role, probably the second biggest in the film. I loved her on Community and she's great in this. I also love Debby Ryan and although she's only in like 5-6 scenes, she's pretty funny and memorable.

Luke Benward also has a good role. I love him and wasn't aware he was in this. It was a nice surprise.

I didn't even find Spy (major letdown) to be nearly as good as The Heat, which was a great comedy.

Yup, I really liked it.
Very fun comedy, and Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy have plenty of chemistry together.

It's a shame Sandra Bullock doesn't want to do a sequel. The Heat is one of my favorite comedies of all time. Paul Feig said the sequel would be very Silence Of The Lambs-ish if I recall. I'm guessing it would have been about the Red Falls killer.

Can't blame her for that and at this point, Feig's lucky to get another gig let alone get a sequel going.
I honestly cannot see what the hell was do funny about that movie.

I saw it with my MoviePass and the...

[Show spoiler]Restaurant reveal got the biggest laughs and reaction.

I was seeing it mainly for Gillian Jacobs and she delivered. But Heidi Gardner’s Leonor and Jessie Ennis’ Debbie stole the scenes they were in.

Life Of The Party (First Time Viewing)
3.75/5

This will come as a surprise. I actually enjoyed this. I wasn't expected much from the trailer and the last few films she did with her husband. A bit slow at the start. But once she gets to college it picks up. Better than Tammy, Identity Thief and The Boss.

I mean its not going to win any award. Just a fun That should count for something. On a poll I round it up to a 4. So good job everyone.

This was so much funnier than I was expecting. But also, I hadn't seen many trailers and all I knew was Melissa McCarthy goes back to college which was enough for me I guess.

My wife absolutely LOVES the Heat, so much so that I bought her a used copy on ebay for 4 bucks.

I think it's a good but not great comedy.

I was howling from laughter at that moment; it was what elevated it from a soft 5 to a high 6. God bless Maya Rudolph and her timing.

Of Melissa McCarthy's films not directed by Paul Feig to focus on her schtick, this one is good and bad at utilizing it. Funny and touching, predictable (minus the aforementioned scene above) and tired, it's the kind of movie you either Redbox or see on a Tuesday night at AMC if you're a Stubs member.
