![]() ![]() Plot details are being kept under wraps, but an insider likens “Life of the Party” to the 1986 Rodney Dangerfield comedy “Back to School.” Production could start as soon as this summer. http://www.thewrap.com/melissa-mccar...-of-the-party/ |

Let me guess. Her character is a woman who swears a lot, and feels like a outcast because no one likes her. But at the end of the movie. Everyone learns to love her. Is that somewhere close?

I hope Falcone directs Ghostbusters 2.

I didn't see the Boss thankfully, but I saw Tammy and yikes it was bad. This doesn't piss me off though because I won't see it. I've given up on her films except Ghostbusters or something where she is a costar with someone I like.

Spy. Bridesmaids. Ghostbusters. All the above are her best. |

Anyway this isn't Fieg, but I'd be no more hopeful for it. I saw Tammy and Identify Theif along with the ones listed and that felt like enough of a fill of Melissa McCarthy. She was her absolute most tolerable for me in Ghostbusters for some reason. Her normal comedy style seemed way toned down. Maybe because of the PG-13? |

When Falcone directs her, yes. When she works with other people, she does much better. And if she's gonna insist on doing the foul-mouthed, belligerent persona, it's best when it's in small doses like This Is 40, The Hangover Part III, or that brief segment of Spy about 2/3 of the way through the flick.

Happy Gilmore is a blast too imo. I used to like Billy Madison, but it doesn't hold up at all. I also find 50 First Dates to be a fine film. Overall though Sandler has a ton of garbage movies. However I feel the same about McCarthy so hey what do I know. Others seem to love her.
