I only saw this once, and over ten years ago. Been meaning to see it again. Looks like now's the time! And I'm loving that $22.99 price point. Hopefully Sony's future catalog releases follow suit.

Glad Sony's including both cuts on the UHD. Heavily prefer the Integral Version i.e. LÉON over the Theatrical i.e. The Professional.

Wonder why they only chose to make 4K masters for specific cuts. They ought to do more seamless branching.

This is the first I've heard of a UHD with seamless branching (although I am out of touch). All others seem to just have the theatrical version.

I love both versions equally but rarely go back to the TC as I would be aware I was missing something.

Fast and Furious 6 and Furious 7 have seamless branching as well. I'm not sure what else does but I remember those not being the only ones. I think The Huntsman movies do as well but I haven't watched those in a while so don't remember. It's not done as much as it should be though, that's for sure.

More props to Leon with a 4K release, I'll celebrate that.

I see the listing on this site has changed to Best Buy exclusive. I was holding out for Amazon... but I guess Best Buy it is, then.

I only own the original US blu-ray (got it super cheap) and wasn't interested in the standard BD remaster, so i'm in for the actual 4K disc.

Wish I held off on Bram Stoker's Dracula, though.

Is it confirmed that only BBY will carry UHD release?

From the press release:

Also debuting on July 11 is the beloved action classic from director Luc Besson, LEON: THE PROFESSIONAL, debuting exclusively on 4K Ultra HD at Best Buy. This release includes both the theatrical and extended versions of the movie in full 4K resolution with Dolby Atmos audio.

It will only be for a while that Best Buy carries it exclusively. Happens all the time and Sony isn't gonna limit themselves for long.

$29 from BB after $4 shipping and tax. I think I'll wait. BB usually holds onto these 'exclusives for 3 months or so. Amazon'll ship it free for probably $20 not long after..

Hopefully they have it in store so I can just pop in and grab it. I closed my BestBuy website account a while back when it got hacked and I don't feel like opening a new one.

I knew I should have waited on buying the Atmos version of the standard BD... I don't even have my presence speakers set-up yet! Ohh well, at least it was cheap. If this is a good disc I'll probably wait for an awesome sale as I love this movie. Sony should have released these sooner instead of even bothering with the 4k Mastered standard BDs.

I'd wait. I bought the first integrale dvd with messed up sound then the first bd with a messed up picture.
