I'll be sticking around. Blu-ray.com will become the de facto home for fans of home high definition media.

When the format war winds down and ends (with a wimper) the insane people and troll will also gradually disappear. We'll be left with sane, logical fans of high-definition entertainment. Folks will come here for discussion on the best Blu-ray players and movies, deals, etc.

Don't I wish.

There will still be people coming by to tell us we're all stupid, we should just rent via digital downloads so M$ makes money. And how the M$ way is so much more "consumer friendly."

Or if we're so antique we need physical media, they have determined that upscaled DVDs are good enough for us. They'll probably have to- because I'll bet M$'s HD digital downloads will look like upconverted DVDs.

Those of us with large screens (mine is 61") will know the difference. But it the average screen really does stay around 40", I wonder how noticeable it will be on that scale.

I think it will be an even better site after the war. tracking adoption, new players, big releases, more fun and humour, inside scoops.

nah this will continue to be the home of blu for me.

I dont know about everyone else here but I have become addicted to this site and all of the news about this format war. It is very interesting to me and it really makes my work day go by faster. The problem is, I can see myself visiting this site less and less once all of the DUD bashing, exclusivity news, etc. slows down.

What does everyone else think? I love Blu and I will always be an active member of this site. (As long as I dont get banned for this thread!) Moreover, Im not trying to be a downer in any way and I will always visit this site but I can see my contribution to the threads (never ending, however) slowing down.

Does anyone agree or am I blowing smoke?
I visit this site to see what movies/TV shows are coming to Blu-ray so I’ll stop by just to look. I do see myself posting less, then again maybe not. I guess time will tell.

I have only been using Blu-ray since my most recent arrival in America. When I return to Europe I'll have to get a set-up wherever I end up.

I think I'll be dropping in from time to time. There are some good technical resources here, and comparing notes, getting and giving advice about releases, etc. is fun.

And of course I'll stay if only to let industry insiders know what I want to see on Blu-ray (not that they can always do anything about it ) and make suggestions, voice opinions, vote on polls, etc. about things to put on releases...

...so yes

Of course I'll be visiting the site. I play on enjoying Blu-ray for years to come, and hopefully my home theater will grow -- so why not come here to learn all the latest news and hang out with the fellow enthusiasts?

I like this forum. It's very well moderated and can only grow in its seriousness -- I just hope it never becomes self-important, like so many other high-end home video forums out there.

yep unfortunately for you guys I will be lurking around and making the occasional
post.
I came here before to find out what movies are coming out, specs, info about games, firmware and equipment.
I admit that I am on this site a lot especially all the drama going on with warner, paramount switch. I have got a bunch of laughs out of the funny comments and pictures from other posters.
But It will be nice to sit back admire my investment without worry when the other format is six feet under and just watch movies.
