Even MI:Fallout was only 1.9:1 for its “Imax” scenes, at least that’s as far as I can tell having not actually seen it for myself. That didn’t stop people from mistaking it for the real thing.
He must have because it’s going to have it. The cameras it filmed with are capable of doing 1.43, the cameras used for Fallout were not.

I'd still like the option to see it and it basically costs them no effort or trouble really.

And some of the Interstellar stuff, whatever the expanded was on that, it just looked and played so much better.

I mean what does it hurt or cost them to allow the option?
Isn't 1.43:1 taller than the aspect ratio of modern HDTVs and 4KTVs, which means that if movies are displayed in 1.43:1 on modern TVs, there'd be black bars on the side? Vertical black bars for a cinematic experience are way worse than horizontal ones, in my opinion.

Heads up for anyone wanting the UK release, the cinema version was pre-cut to obtain a '12A' rating.Unsure if the 15 version will be on the UK 4K.

Precuts information
During post-production, the distributor sought and was given advice on how to secure the desired classification. Following this advice, certain changes were made prior to submission

Note: The following text may contain spoilers

BBFC site-This work was originally seen for advice. The company was advised the film was likely to be classified 15 but that their preferred 12A classification could be achieved by reducing bloody detail in two scenes. When the film was submitted for formal classification the bloody detail had been reduced - by means of reducing the amount of blood visible on screen rather than by making any 'cuts' - and the film was classified 12A. No footage has been removed from the film.

Saw this last night for the Amazon prime early screening, visually great and just an overall fun movie. Will be a day 1 purchase for me.

Should look great on UHD, very colorful photography and the added detail should bring a lot out of the costumes and production design. Movie itself is a mixed bag.

Has there been any definitive word on a Target Exclusive, or just an assumption based on past history?
I LOVE the Target exclusives so I'm in if they offer one!

I like the Frank Frazetta-like pyramid composition of this cover, and that they got Black Manta in there -- but then again, it makes it look like Black Manta is part of Team Aquaman, so he really shouldn't be there, and Mera looks forced into the image with that pose and part of her head behind Aquaman's arm. Maybe they should have just had her laying at Aquaman's feet with her arm embracing his leg, a la Boris Vallejo style. jk

There's no way there won't be a Target exclusive.

Saw this at the Amazon Prime screening and had an absolute blast. Easily the most fun DC movie to date. Honestly can't wait to see it again, hopefully in IMAX, but definitely a day one pickup for me.

Here's hoping we get a 4k steelbook and Wan keeps his word on the full screen aspect ratios!

They bent over to fit modern desires and will be rewarded. Not a surprise really.
