Same here.

We may have not gotten IMAX scenes anyway. Eternals had a shifting presentation but it’s a constant 2.39 on 3D Blu-ray. Disney+’s deal with IMAX appears to be exclusive.

Yeah, shifting ratio or not, Disney won't offer the premium format on disc. I wish it was just 16x9 everywhere like Ant-Man and the first Avengers movie, if you're going to shoot the whole thing in IMAX then why letterbox it at all?

I knew MCU IMAX movies were coming, an MCU director hinted at this on stage a few years ago. It's part of the reason I did not buy Endgame on 4K. I didn't know that it would be exclusive to streaming and I'm not sure they did either.

The obvious answer is that all studios see streaming as the future and will do anything to make it work, including making IMAX exclusive to their streaming platform. If that means annoying a few last century holdouts like us for an almost defunct physical format, then sadly it's not even a choice.

Streaming services have been closing on invaders lands(sorry to bring this subject here, just making a point)... i hint people to think about what happened there... one day it can happen to you or me.

Streaming doesn't belong to who pays for it... physical media does.

Hoepfully they're releasing this on 3D bluray, because I'm not paying to see this in theaters. Doesn't look interesting enough, but would be a great 3D movie to watch at home.

Yeah, anything except for offering the same quality you get from a disc!

I'll make an effort to go see this in IMAX 3D and if it gets a MovieNEX release I'll buy that. Otherwise I won't be paying for any home edition, as much as I love the director.

Taking into account the first Dr Strange movie and looking at the trailer for this one, if they don't release a 3D version then 3D is truly dead at Disney.

The problem is that the 3D disc won't have that aspect ratio. :/

The ole "Why isn't everything filmed 16:9?" question.

I'm meh on the IMAX. I want the fuller screen image, but everything is framed for the normal theatrical AR so I'm not really missing out. I've been playing a game in 3D where if you use motion controls you can, in select scenes, use them to move the camera a scintilla to see a skosh more of the screen. That's the sort of "it's neat, but not game-changing" I also ascribe to the extra screen real estate in imax.

But the screenshot shows that the showing is unavailable to book? Hmm. Also, "no passes"? I thought Cinemark didn't do blackouts.

Tickets aren't on sale until April 6th, that's why. They're just starting to put times up.

Thanks. Good to see your theater offering Imax 3D again! I saw the first Doctor Strange in Imax 3D and it was excellent for projection in 3D.

Sam Raimi, the guy behind Oz Great & Powerful 3D is again director of Dr. Strange Multiverse Madness 3D, so I'm expecting about the same conversion goals or better hopefully as with Oz 3D.

Cool I guess but honestly other than the few "made for IMAX" movies I've seen in true IMAX at the Smithsonian, I've always found the IMAX 3D inferior in picture quality to realD. But that's just my opinion, and it's always good to see ANY 3D returning to theaters!

It's not my theater, just a theater showing it in IMAX 3D. Still waiting to see if my Regal does offer it, but this listing has me a lot more confident.

Oh, I see. Thanks. I'll have to check to see if my theaters offer it in Imax 3D or XD3D soon. I haven't looked it up yet.
