Top Gun will likely be the next big film.

THANK YOU. This is the best timeline. Remember when summer movies were crap like Deep Impact/Armageddon? Or the only super hero movies we'd ever get was more Batman or stuff like Steel? I remember thinking we'd NEVER get an Avengers movie and we got a multi movie adaptation of the Infinity Gauntlet. Inject all of this into my veins.

Maverick is certainly going to be big. Audiences are loving it. Maybe not a $200 million opening weekend, but it should play well. I think Elvis (6/24) is going to do well, too, along with Jurassic World: Dominion and Lightyear. Going to be a terrific June for exhibitors. Have a feeling Jurassic World may out-stoopid its welcome, but that didn't stop any of the Jurassic films before, so...

They were also able to blend tv and movies. Remember when that was the idea for Dark Tower and they said it could not be done.

Oh it's gonna be massive. What's crazy is Tom Cruise has never opened to a 100 million weekend. This will do it easy.

Someone should adjust his career into modern ticket prices.

Deadline saying 85 million Friday (including previews) and $190-200 millilon opening weekend. I feel like there’s a chance this passes the first movie in its first week of release
