Is it still considered cool to "party like it's 1999" ?

I think a nice glass of Crown on the rocks will be in order and kick back with my favourite BDs!

Default So what becomes of us?

So now that the format war is over, what will become of all of us? I for one have been coming to this site everyday anticipating this day. Now that it is here, I don't think that I will be visiting the site as much. Exclusive announcements won't seem as important anymore. Don't get me wrong, I love this site, but the cat is out of the bag so to speak.....I'm going to miss the anticipation....although I can't wait to see some of the aftermath that will probably spill through the remainder of this week, or possibly the month.

Its been great chatting, trading, disputing, arguing, etc, etc with you all!!!!!

I don't know. For one thing we want be able to make fun of them as much. This could mean a lot more Troll traffic. We'll just have to wait until some other company tries us again.

well there's going to be more newbs, which means 5,000 LOTR thread, 15,000 Star Wars threads, and 100k 'when is my favorite movie coming to blu threads. Bannings will go on the rise as a result of above...

In all seriousness, I'm in the same boat. My visitation will drop quite a bit, although I'll continue to read the Insider threads. Might ask the occasional question, and will troll (in the sense of frequenting) the Home Theater section of this site, helping people get the most out of their systems...

We will settle down to questions about "what region is it" and the like and discussions of movies like a while ago Re. 2001, Blade Runner & CE3K.

.......... Oh and of course "When is Star Wars coming out".

...........and what are the black bars for... etc... etc...

I tend to lurk in the background as it is anyways, but I still plan to visit as often as I do now. I like this site. Cool people, and tons of information on all kinds of stuff. How else would I get the scoop on the BOGO's?

I am an AV nut and I like having other similar folks to talk with. I don't know if I will be here more or less, it will depend on what happens, but I was not here just for the war and it will be interesting to see how this place evolves. I hope it becomes the AV site where people with an interest in AV installations and movies can come and discuss where it is all headed. There is always something new and better on the horizon and you always need to be informed.

Title announcements.

Those are something real and tangible. That is, after all, the reason we got into this.

The overt (vs. HD-DVD) war appears to be over. Now the covert (vs. DVD) has begun.

I have been on for quite a while as well. I was thinking the same thing today, now what?

I will continue to come here though to get updates and just find out what is going on in the world of blu. There is still alot of great info to share and get caught up on everyday.

We can help the newbies as well.

This site is still going to be the #1 source for Blu-Ray news and title announcements.

It's business as usual for me. I'll visit about every day.

You know...I would just like to talk about movies, new blu-ray players, and just have fun for awhile. We've fought so much in the last year, it will be kinda nice just to chill out for a little while.
