Many people will see a movie advertised for the theater and say " i will wait for it to come out on video".

It is like idiots who will let reviewers tell them what is good and bad when they want a game or something.
Or no theaters within 150 miles are playing the movie. Something I had to deal with for many movies, including Pan's Labyrinth, Grindhouse, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Smokin' Aces, Rocky Balboa, and Borat...luckily since I've moved to Lincoln, I just have to wait awhile to get to see movies like Assassination of Jesse James, There Will Be Blood or Rescue Dawn.

BUT, if they held off on release announcements I wouldn't be too upset, I still have about 50 titles I need to get from catalog releases.

first, why did MosHighDef quote and then respond to his own post

second, that girl is emo and will probably kill herself soon

and third, some box office bombs aren't even that bad in the end they just "flourish" later on... take Scarface for example, when it was released it majorly bombed and it wasnt till recently that it became a cult classic and IMO same goes for Boondock Saints

Frankly, I'm a little glad it's quieted down. Especially I am glad that the hyperactivity of the end of the format war is diminishing. It made it impossible to discuss movies, players and other interesting topics without having the interesting threads get rapidly displace to deep pages of the forum.

Don't be so quick to complain about the quality of movies coming out on Blu-ray. You never had Blockbusters coming out on DVD on a weekly basis either, and if the idea is to encourage "everything" to eventually be released in BD rather than DVD, then these need to be supported at some level, as well.

There are a lot of obscure and poorly reviewed movies that I really like. There are also some Blockbusters that I think suck. Take Transformers. That movie sucked, IMO. I don't know what the anticipation is all about. OTOH, many, many thought Pathfinders sucked, and I liked that one a lot. Who doesn't like to waste 90 minutes watching National Lampoon movies? I will be pleased when I can see every piece of garbage that is released on BD.

Coke owns!!! You think the admins would be upset if we posted a Coke Vs Pepsi thread that people could vote on? Might be kinda fun!!! Give us something to debate with the format war over and all
