Alright so now I'm confused. I think the set I want is the one in your link. Is this the same fold out set as the one shown in this youtube unboxing vid? I watched it but I don't get sound on the PC I'm working from right now so I have to rely on the visuals only. Does the 6 disc set fold out like this 5 disc set (at the 2:40 mark in the vid)?

The six disc version houses two digipacks inside the main card box, both fold out like the 5 disc release but each digipack holds three discs each.

It's really not complicated as there are only two versions in the UK.

There's the original version released in 2007, which is 1080p/24fps. Then there's the special edition which was released in 2010. I would consider the latter to be the better edition, however it is in 1080i/50Hz so if you're in the US and don't know for sure that you can play that type of material, I wouldn't risk buying it.

Right. I was actually just wondering about the layout. I like to choose my favorite presentation if I'm gonna drop coins on blu rays. As for the 1080i, I'm not concerned about that since I've seen enough people that have it confirm that the series is indeed 1080p. The part that concerns me is that second part you make reference to:

"Please note that this product will not play on US spec 60i Blu-ray players as the Blu-ray discs are authored to UK 50i specs."
Can anyone tell me for certain that I will not be able to play these UK versions on my Sony BDV-F7 player?

You should be since the special edition is in 1080i/50Hz and you won't be able to play it on just any US machine. Can't help you with your particular setup, though I think there was a list of capable players somewhere on this forum.

The original UK version is fine though, they're the same discs as the original BBC edition released in the US.

Hmm. Well that note about 50i was actually on the standard release page from Amazon UK. If the special edition won't play on my machine, then I would be happy with the standard release, but it may not work either unless that dislaimer is an error and only applicable to the special edition.

Does anyone know where to find that link of capable players?
