Not too surprising given that it's a BD-25...

Personally, I'm hoping for a "swooshless" design (ala WB, Paramount, or Disney) as the "swoosh" just cheapens the whole look for me. If they want to mess up the cover art, hopefully they will take a page from Sony's artwork.

Yeah while I didn't like it, it was streamlined and consistent packaging for every release. I'm hoping they just don't do any specific designs either, but I expect they might. LGF does that, and I dislike it.

I'm not sure I get what you're saying regarding LGF, but while I personally like consistency in packaging, I don't in cover art (unless it's in a film series, TV series).

The swoosh is absolutely HORRIBLE to me... and I wish DEATH on the swooshes. I understand that studios want to differentiate Blu-ray from DVD, but I think the Blue case does a good job of that.

Still, since Universal will no longer be using "The Look And Sound Of Perfect" tag, I'm wondering if they will pick up the "Beyond High Definition" tag or go tagless (if we're lucky).

First of all I really liked this movie. It is one part Escape from New York, one part Road Warrior, a dash of 28 Days Later, a sprinke of Gladiator, wrapped around a hot lead actress. The fact is that it clearly is an homage to those movies with the font on the title the exact same as Escape from New York even down to the computer gererated map. There is also a death scene near the end that is worth the price of admission. No doubt this movie is garbage, but what wonderful garbage that it is.

I want to see this. I'm too afraid to blind buy it, so I'll rent it first and then decide.

To each their own.
I was hoping a SE or 4K was coming. I think this movie is an absolute blast.

Agree, it's a mix of different genres. It could have been better, but what we got is already enough for me to enjoy it

So are these featurettes from the German Concorde release embedded within the U-control feature? These are all on the DVD release.

Quote:
"Anatomy of Catastrophe: Civilisation on the Brink" featurette (17:24)
"The Visual Effects and Wizardry of Doomsday" featurette (8:31)
"Devices of Death: Guns, Gadgets and vehicles of Destruction" featurette (20:01)
