They should bring back Tom Jane as the Punisher for this one.

Oh...and goats....more goats in this one too!!!

I'd love to see Richie Cunninghams daughter come back as Gwen.

Kirsten Dunst is beautiful and is superb in the Spider movies and anything else she's ever done too.

So there!

I would like to see Venom done better too.

I know they still have some of the symbiote in connor's office, and would be happy to see something like it leaching to someone else (even though Eddie Brock- possiblity sucks since they killed him off). It would be great to see the small symbiote slowly take over a new host, maybe like we see in comics.... someone very muscular that already adds to strength rather than the small guy they picked for Eddie. I just want to see the Venom/ Spidey battle we should have seen the first time around.

From a comics stand point, Kraven was always one of the most dangerous of the Spidey villains (and fairly dynamic psychologically), as well as one other villains were also afraid of.

Congratulations. I agree about Gwen. A big WTF to the rest of it.

So there!
She's "cute" (at times), I'll give you that. However, she's as horrible a Mary Jane as Maguire is Parker/Spidey. I read an interview wher she said the Spider-Man franchise couldn't continue without Maguire, Raimey, and herself. I laughed out loud.

Again, I don't think Venom died. They didn't show it, he just disappeared.

Indeed he does, which is why so many were upset with 3 right? So, I think 4&5 would be perfect if they made up the Maximum Carnage story arc.

i would be happy with Kraven or Shocker...and Lizard seems like a no brainer considering they have already introduced the Doc Conners character.

Yeah, I kind of thought so too. Tobey is not the problem, it's the script. I wouldn't mind to see him play Spider-Man for 3 more movies.

Sony has paid to renew the rights in order to make Spider-Man 4

this from IESB.net....

Marvel Vice Chairman Peter Cuneo was asked about the status of Spider-man 4 today. He confirmed that Sony has made the payment to renew their rights to make the film.

Cuneo said the following, "As far as Spider-man 4, it's really up to Sony and it up to them, most likely scenario is 2010 or 2011 but we can't speak for them and I think that we don't know. They have given us their re-up payment for that film so you know they're going to make it within a reasonable timeframe. Sony may be looking at some issues with the cast and so on, I think they have to make some decisions."

So it's really up to Sony right now, will Tobey Maguire return? Will Sam Raimi return? Also, the re-up payment means the rights need to be used within a reasonable amount of time, so I would expect to hear something regarding movement on 4 and 5 late this year if not early next year.

Cinematical reported that Sony Pictures is looking to film the next two Spider-Man movies, 4 and 5, back to back. They hired James Vanderbilt (Zodiac) to write the screenplays. An inside source told the site that, "[Vanderbilt's] story arc has encompassed two films, making Spider-Man 5 shootable at the same time. The studio saw dollar signs and is in the process of reworking his deal to snatch up the story arc."

So with the re-up paid for Spider-man 4 does that change these rumored plans? The tone of Cuneo's voice when talking about the status seemed to emphasize that Sony needed to make some decisions regarding casting before they could move forward.

Nothing new there. Prety much all we know so far.

Here's to hoping they learn from their mistakes.

Agreed. That dancing in the bar scene was completely useless!

If you go to youtube and search "marvel dc" you might find these short super hero skits. The creator uses superhero dolls and does all the voices. It is really very funny stuff.

You see only Batman is enjoying unbridled success in his movie career while Superman laments that no one liked his last movie. Spider-man quips. "You think that is bad? In spider-man 4 I have a scene where I have to dance AND cry at the same time!" Great stuff.
