The problem is you did say it was a fact in a later post. If your definition that 32 and soon 60 player dedicated servers are less robust than 8 and 16 player P2P servers then you are trolling. It's just not the case they are more robust. Thats a fact. And yet you make a general statement. People not qualifying what they are talking about is the problem.

Another example ..

If paying $300/year (every year) for my family to have their own Live account is better than paying $0 for those more robust dedicated servers is considered being impressive.. then I'm glad to be the dumbest fox on the planet.

Those factors above mean PSN "blows" Live out of the water for me..being interrupted in Warhawk to go play GT5 isn't on my top 10 of must haves.

Under another definition of Robust...I routinely get less lag on Call of Duty 4 on PSN than I do on Live. This is one case where more people is not necessarily better, as long as there are enough people you don't care if you have 100K opponents or 1 million opponents, and 100k opponents will operate better.

I just use my 360 more for gaming, and XBL is at this point a far more robust system than PSN and thats not opinon but fact. It offers over 200 demos, Tons of hi def TV shows Movies and other things. And besides the way i stated it was my OPINON. I am allowed to like the 360.

hmm.. kinda sounds the same?

Didn't help him that our fearless leader Shin-Ra sent him heads-up about it either

by the end of the year PSN will "blow XBL out of the water".

look at all the stuff getting added. PSN and XBL shouldn't just be judged on downloadable offerings. it also should be by gameplay speed, features (living with playstation, home, ect.) it's not fair XBL has been out longer than PSN. wait until all these new updates take place and XBL will be pointless. why pay for something the playstation offers for free and has(will have) more stuff available.

You seem to forget that XBL started off WAY before PSN did.

Well since so many games are skewing their content to on-line play .. most of those $60 games are of far less value unless you pay MS for on-line. PSN being free unlocks more value than most people realize.

Speaking of realizing, most people still do not even realize the value of the PS3 itself. One look at it people will think this is a crappy system, out of all the three console this gen, PS3 is the worse. It got owned by 360 and Wii, it made Sony lost 3 bil, its online feature sucks, it's a completely useless system that can't do anything, other then to watch Blu-ray movies. Even the journalist hate it, let's all hate it as well. That is what goes on in my mind of most people out there. Which is very sad.

Thankfully, I'm not one of the sheep. Sony has made mistakes in how the way the PS3 was handled, but I think they're making up for it and it can only go positive from this point forward. I feel that the PS3 is worth the price I paid for it, despite what the naysayers may have to say about it versus the 360 or the much cheaper Wii. My PS3 proves its "next-gen" worthiness versus what my Nintendo Wii does, which is essentially a Gamecube 2.5 with a gimmick control system IMHO

Default Differences in numbers

Guys,

I'm sure that if there is a difference in numbers, this is due to the fact that sell-in is being reported, not sell-through. For those who do not know, sell-in is what is sold from Sony and into the channels (whether brick and mortar or ecom). Sell-through is the actual numbers reported by the retailer or POP (point of purchase). Unfortunately, not all channels will report their sell through back to Sony, but the good news is that the big box retailers do (i.e. Best Buy, Walmart, Costco, etc...). So in light of the difference, the point is that XBOX is a dying gaming system and with the Blu Ray camp taking the trophy, PS3 will continue to run all over XBOX.

This is good news. Lots of people on PSN. Plus we can't forget the people who have PS3s and aren't connected online. I have a friend who ive been telling to get a router for like 6 months now and hasn't gotten around to it. I also have a cousin who can't connect online because his parents are a couple of overprotective ignorant twats, who think hell make friends with a serial killer or something. I wonder what the total numbers of PS3 users are because not everyone is connected to PSN for various reasons.

This is the 21st century and I still can't believe there are still overly-protective parents. I know they just care about their childrens, but don't let paranoid get in the way of true caring. Happiness comes first, censoring happiness away from someone just cause they might make bad friends online, that's lame.

What's the difference between the internet and the real world? Who here doesn't buy things online? Yeah one can't always trust people, but still, life can be a gamble, sometime you gotta take chance. How do we know our manager at work aren't serial killer? It's the same thing IRL just as it is online.

My friend parents are like that too, paranoid and overly-protective.
His PS3 is just laying there cause his parents wont let him use internet, for the most part.

I guess as the old saying goes, people fear what they do not understand.

Yeah agreed. And I know my cousin better than them because he lets loose around me and in my house cause my parents have always been super easy going and let me do whatever. And he has the type of parents that like make him out to be a loser if he gets anything less than a 95 in school. So like when he gets older if he ever gets fired from a job I have no idea how hell handle it. Hell probably just jump off a building or something. But anyways yeah more than half the ps3 is online! He cant do anything with it but play the games approved for him to play and thats it which is such a waste. So yeah we have to take these people into account too. not everyone is signed onto psn for whatever their reason may be.
