On the back of the PS3 madden box it states it supports 720, on the back of the XBOX 360 box it states it supports 720, 1080i and 1080p. I bougth the PS3 version because my xbox 360 is at the repair center....again

Plus I like my PS3 better

Well I finally have made a decision. After days of debating in my head I realized what the hell, I need a real next-gen football game. I've got $40 to Best Buy and am gonna use the $10 off $75 or more and will possibly be picking up Oblivion as well.

Anyway, if anyone wants to play a rookie-intermediate Madden player starting tonight, add me on PSN and lets play!

I just can't decide whether to get NCAA 09 or Madden 09. On the one hand I'm a bigger college football fan than I am pro. On the other hand, Madden is apparently better overall in terms of graphics, features, etc. I can't afford both so what do I do?!? Arrrgghh!!

Last night when i got off work i went over to wal mart and picked up madden 09...i had to wait in this long line of people...i felt kinda bad...i was probably the only one to buy the ps3 version...lol

i only have ps3 tho so it was a easy choice...and updating the rosters for free was a +

i dont see a difference between the two tho.
& yes the rewind thing i thought it was just a instant replay but it actually lets you replay the down...feels like a cheat thing..i dunno...u dont have to use it tho.

I have not read a single review out of the hundreds so far that indicates this as a must have game. I wish people would realize that with a company like ea, is they do not care about product quality as long as sales come through. People going out and buying the usual hunk of crap they lob at customers is only going to allow them to continue with this method.

Even more comical is i have read more positive reviews of the thrown in head coach game then Madden 09. And why even continue to call it Madden when that tool Collinsworth is calling the game.

I picked mines up at midnight and was up all night playing it (now I'm tired as hell at work). Anyway, overall the game is really good. I like the graphics, the gameplay has improved and the commentary is pretty good too. The only thing I don't really like is that rewind crap, but you can turn it off, so it's cool. Oh another thing I noticed was that the stadiums look amazing. And the grass looks good as well. It may seem minor reading this, but when you play it you'll def notice the difference. I was playing a game as the Vikings against the Bears in Soldier field in the snow and I was really impressed at how it looked. Oh and Adrian Peterson is a beast in this game. And for DA NINER fans, they're pretty good on the game. I was able to beat the Saints 20-6 with them. It was Smith to Battle all day.

Madden trust me. NCAA is arcadey (word) compared to Madden.

I tried Madden and didn't like it.

I've always liked the 2K football games. In fact.. 2K3 was/is considered to be one of the best football video games ever by reviewers which is why EA kicked down with a huge bribe to be the only NFL licensed video game for a 7 year period or so.

I bought All Star Football 2k8 from ebay for like $6 and I really love it. Can't get enough of it. I guess I got used to 2k football games back in the DreamCast time and it still seems like the best gameplay to me.

I bought Madden 07 for PS3 used for $12 at gamestop but the let me return it later on that week... I couldn't stand it.

NCAA has a better online league though. I really liked the game but it's almost impossible to play defense in that game.

Does anyone know if they offer ps3 and psp integration this year?

I thought last years version would allow you to play your franchise on the ps2 and psp.

That is the only reason I am keeping my psp - and if they didn't add that this year, I'm going to sell it.

I downloaded the PS3 and the 360 demo to compare, there was no real noticable difference. The 360 version felt a little smoother, but that could have just been my imagination and the fact that I'm used to to playing it on the 360.

I will be picking up the 360 version, only because the friends that I play also have that version.

Game froze on my 2nd game of a franchise with my Jets. I guess beating the Pats 49-0 was too unrealistic for my PS3!!!!!

How did you get to kick on the PS3 demo? I tried it last night, and all it would let me do is select the "Great NFL Moment," or whatever it was, with the final drive on the Patriots with the clock winding down. I couldn't actually play an exhibition game at all.

As for '09 so far, I don't get what all the fuss is about. The graphics don't look any better than Madden '07, there is still no real anti-aliasing to speak of, and the frame rate was glitching noticeably. Unless there's something I'm missing, I'll pass on '08, keep '07 on the shelf, and keep playing my PS2 copy of NFL 2K5. It's a much better football game.
