I tear up in Inside Out when
[Show spoiler] Bing Bong Dies.
I have no idea why, but it gets me every time.

Anyone who makes it through Grave of the Fireflies without crying has no soul. Especially the scene where
[Show spoiler]Setsuko is eating rocks because she thinks they're Sakuma drops
.

Horrifyingly enough, the company makes tins with her picture on them. I saw them at Narita and I had to buy one in case no one believed me. It's hard to eat the candy out of it when you know what ultimately happens to it...

Last time I teared up was in The Force Awakens when you know who dies. I knew it was coming and it still hit me. Last time I all out blubbery bawled my eyes out was during E.T.,I was seven.

I always get choked up when I watch Shawshank Redemption and Schindler's List (during the incredible end credits scene).

Apollo 13 gets me every time, that wait as they come out of reentry gets more nail-biting every time I watch it and then oh, what a release of emotion. I'm literally getting goosebumps as I type this.

Last flick that caused some waterworks was the end of Logan, I wasnae blubbering like a wee bairn but it certainly got me welling up. I was a wreck at the end of Carve Her Name With Pride though, I recently reviewed it on DVD and that ending hit me like a brick.

Apollo 13 is a good example; even though it's a historical event and you know how it's going to end, they translated it to film so well that it gets you right on the edge of your seat waiting for the outcome.

The ending of The Road is a close second.

Logan has been the most recent movie to nearly bring me to tears. I watched a long chapter of my life that started in childhood until adulthood, end with the ending of that film.

I think everyone who was there since X1 felt the same and the filmmaking team displayed that in the movie. It was super meta.

Star Wars actually got me on three separate occasions when I was trying to do a marathon in chronological order. Both parts leading up to Luke learning of Vader as his father, then the moment Vader turns on the Emperor to save what he had left for family nailed the full circle arc.

Then of course I watched Han die again, lol.

Edit:

I wanted to say that I've noticed King Kong getting listed quite a bit. I think it's obvious because when he starts to scale that building, we've already been through this before and know it's happening again, but this version really pulls hard on it for some reason. If any of you have seen the extended version, you'll know he gets a bit of a reprieve to see the sunrise one list time before it yanks on you even harder. I hate Peter Jackson for including this, but now that whole sequence brings a point.

Toy Story 3 was probably the last one although I came close when re-watching the animated version of Charlotte's Web.

The reminiscence scene towards the beginning of UP is a tearjerker as well. First time I saw it was a tearFLOOD.

It's me just "hating" on TFA as usual but Han buying it is one of the least emotional things I've ever seen in a movie.

Nostalgia has been getting to me recently. Recently rewatched a movie from the 90s that I probably hadn't seen in like 15 years and it was this weird thing of seeing it for the first time all over again while simultaneously also knowing the whole thing scene-by-scene, sometimes line-by-line, and when it was all over I was mad emotional. But I didn't cry. I dunno, I don't think I can lol

I do like that feeling though, when you revisit something you haven't seen in an age and you're sitting there going "damn, this is a ****ing good film". Real men cry though, lol
