Default Wow!!!!

I just go off the phone with Kimber Kable, at Kimber.com, discussing their HDMI cables. I was told they have a new HDMI cable that will take care of all my needs #HD29. I was excited: silver plated wires, gold plated contacts, high performance all for only $277.00 for a 3 foot cord.

At that price it must make my wife get me a beer anytime I want but I forgot to ask them if the “Wife Connection” was included.

Not as good the Monster J-Series HDMI Cable. It costs $500, but it is blessed by Jesus, so it is good.

Use a coat hanger

But really, I bought 3 HDMI cables for $60... together. Yeah, that's $20 each. And they work great! All this cable stuff is over-hyped. Most of the time, you can get the same quality with cheaper wires.

LOL, hence the J-Series.

That's just insane. I had to look this cable up to see it for myself.

I hope you dont use such a low quality cable. It will damage your display and receiver. My cable costs $289.00, so I know my gear is safe and my picture will be much better than yours.

You can find it right here: http://www.usa.denon.com/ProductDetails/3429.asp

We had a fun thread going on stuff like this here, but it faded away. Pity.

Wow is correct! Paying that much for an HDMI cable is ridiculous. My Monster 1000 only cost me $50 brand new on ebay.

I ordered the above at 1:13 pm and by 1:30 pm I received note that the cable had been shipped along with a tracking number. That was fast.

Try www.monoprice.com. Bought 6 HDMI for $22. Replaced all of my cables, when I bought my new receiver.

Why? Unless you sold them, you wasted more money.

Wasn't sure what the compliance was on my other HDMI cables, and I upgraded to a new HD-DVD player (for use with my standard DVDs only because it was dirt cheap not purchasing any HD-DVD's) and now have an xbox elite along with the PS3...so I have enough high end equipment that getting new cabling for such a cheap price was worth it to me. My receiver was a $1700 receiver so $22 total for cables wasn't a big deal. Mostly I was upgrading cables from component to HDMI as well. That plus the hassle of doing any wiring...seemed like a good time to do it when installing the new receiver. Took a good chunk of cabling out.

Well, I've been using Ethereal EM-HDMI2 2 meter cables since I jumped on the HDMI bandwagon in December 2007. Bought 9 of them from Buy.com when they first began carrying them (and at that time they were on sale for 19.99 and shipping was free when I ordered them) and now they sell for 55.75 shipped. Have never had a problem with them but have with other HDMI cables so I'm a happy camper!

err, you guys know that price of the cable doesn't matter, right? All the technology is in the HDMI port itself, the cable doesn't matter, you could spend £10 ($20) or £250($500) and there would be no difference.
