Comcast doesn't need an excuse to raise their prices...

We'll have to see how this launch goes. I left them almost two years ago after years and years of broken promises and degrading HD and SD quality (Beyond pathetic). Dish has filled the void nicely with a better, quaility product IMO. Most of those listed are already available on Dish (minus the additional premiums which I don't get anyway)

I may have to switch to the dish also. I have cox cable, I'm going to email them and ask them what there strategy is in response to DTV's huge lineup of channels!

I have Mediacom, and I wrote them asking them if they plan on beefing up their anemic HD lineup ( < 10 channels with locals) to compete with DirecTV's new HD launches and Dish Networks HD package. I got a call from them telling me they were "working on it", but in the mean time they took 20% off my bill plus no DVR fee.

Comcast has plans to add additional HDs in November.
I'm sure the other cable companies are doing similar plans.
Ain't competition great?
