Yeah her and Lucas both grew to be too annoying for me, and led me to actually stop watching several years ago, but after hearing about all these fine brunette bombshells I might just have to catch next season

SPOILER ALERT WITH INFO ON FINALE AND NEWS ON NEXT SEASON

Question: Bummed about Chad and Hilarie leaving One Tree Hill. At least tell me Lucas and Peyton get a proper sendoff in Monday's finale.
Ausiello:
According to EW's Jennifer Armstrong, who screened the finale yesterday, Leyton "definitely comes to a natural resting place that feels right for them and ties up their story nicely; however, they do not get an actual sendoff of any kind." Speaking of Chad and Hilarie's exit, in the very near future I'll be posting something every Tree Hill fan will want to read. Trust me.

Question: Give me something about the One Tree Hill finale!
Ausiello:
What else you got, Armstrong? "Brooke finally gets two things she's long wanted, we find out the fate of Peyton and the baby, and Whitey (the retired HS basketball coach) and Karen (Lucas' mom, played by Moira Kelly) appear." Thanks for ID'ing those last two JA, 'cause I wouldn't of had a clue who you were talking about. Still don't, in fact.

Question: Give us scoop on the new characters that will be joining One Tree Hill next season.
Ausiello:
The three new faces include: Quinn, Haley's free-spirited, strong-willed older sister; Alexis, a model-actress-crazy ***** in her 20s who Brooke hires to be the new face of her clothing line; and Clayton, a young and brash sports agent who takes on Nathan as a client.

Default EXCLUSIVE Hilarie Burton on 'Tree Hill' exit: 'It wasn't a rash decision'

Quote:
Did you hear? After six years of angst, heartache, and more angst, Hilarie Burton will make her final appearance as Lucas-lovin' music mogul Peyton Sawyer on Monday's season finale of One Tree Hill. (Her leading man, Chad Michael Murray, will bid farewell in the same episode.) On the eve of her swan song, the onetime TRL hostess is setting the record straight about the reason behind her departure, the "hurtful" rumors that precipitated it, and a certain video that left many of her fans going, "Whatchoo talkin' 'bout, Ms. Hilarie?" (Warning: Potential spoilers about Monday's finale below.)

There are a lot of rumors flying about why you're leaving. What's the truth?
HILARIE BURTON:
There really wasn't a lot of turmoil. It was a fabulous six-year run, which is how long my contract was for, and I feel really lucky to have been a part of the show. So when I hear that there's turmoil or negotiations based on money it kind of hurts my feelings, because it's not what's been going on at all. I think my fan base in particular knows that money isn't necessarily a big motivator for me, that's why I work in the world of independent film.

How long have you known that you were leaving?
BURTON:
I've known for a little while. For me, it was definitely an emotional decision. And a professional decision as well. I got really, really lucky. One Tree Hill was my very first television audition; it was a fairytale. I feel really lucky to have that level of success right out of the gate.

Just so I'm clear, it was your decision to leave, not the other way around?
BURTON:
I think everyone was kind of agreeable about the situation. There were a lot of really wonderful conversations. It wasn't a rash decision; a lot of thought, emotion, and kindness was put into it. I would hope that that's the story that gets out -- that it was a bunch of adults being good to each other and being kind about the decision-making process.

Did The Powers That Be make a concerted effort to get you to re-sign?
BURTON:
The conversations that they had with me were very compassionate and very sweet. They told me that they valued me, and that meant a lot. And they also wanted me to be happy and challenged and excited. There was some confusion for a little bit as to what was going on, but I think everybody's in a good place now.

Talk to me about the video message you made for your fans back in February. It seemed like you were maybe saying good-bye. What point were you trying to get across?
BURTON:
The purpose of that video was to dispel the rumors that were being circulated. I was on your end of it for a very long time when I worked at MTV, and I understand how the rumor mill works. Everybody wants a sensational story. People even back then were blaming it on money, and [on me] being high maintenance… Those rumors were really hurtful. Of anybody on the show, I was the one who was very excited about doing all the extracurricular stuff -- the mall tours, the radio tours, going to the upfronts… I loved my involvement with this show, and I really just wanted my fan base to know that I wasn't turning my nose up at this wonderful opportunity I've had for the last six years. There's an ugly trend where actors think they've surpassed the show that made them or the film that made them and badmouth it. I will never say a bad word about One Tree Hill. The entire shape of my world changed because of that show, so I'll always be very affectionate toward it.

Have you spoken to Chad recently?
BURTON:
I was in L.A. last week and we talked. Chad and I are good friends. I won't speak for him, but it was not a rash decision on either of our parts. He's very compassionate toward the show and the fans. It's not an easy decision, but we've got to be grown-ups sometimes. [CMM's rep declined my interview request, saying, "Chad is no longer on the show and has no comment regarding the new season."]

What was your last day on the set like?
BURTON:
We wrapped together. We were the last two in the last scene, and we opened up a tab across the street for our crew to say thank you and cried a bunch.

Lucas and Peyton don't really get an official sendoff next week. Is that disappointing?
BURTON:
It's like when you leave for college but you know your parents still have your bedroom set up. You never know if you're going to have to come home... I got really lucky with my character; I got a full-circle story. It was, "Lucas and Peyton: Are they going to be together? Are they not going to be together?" And as we saw in this week's episode, my character got everything she ever wanted.

Might you make the occasional guest appearance?
BURTON:
Never say never. They didn't kill us. There's nothing vengeful about it, and I think that's because as much as we love them, they love us back.

What are you going to do now?
BURTON:
One Tree Hill was a great learning opportunity for me, and I'm excited to go and apply that elsewhere and see where I end up. I'm hoping the fans support whatever my next endeavor is. I'm actually curious what they want me to do... On the blog that I have for my production company, we're producing a web series that we're going to start shooting on Memorial Day. We've also got a television show that we're turning into a graphic novel, and we've got a film we're raising money for. I'm busy. And I'm keeping my business down in North Carolina. I'm still going to be in the neighborhood; it'll just be in a different capacity.

Last question, and it's a biggie: What happens to Peyton's record company?
BURTON:
Who knows? Maybe she'll take it with her. I get to be a fan of the show now, which is cool. I get to sit back and be a fan. I'm personally very excited to see where it goes. I understand they're introducing some new characters... I have no doubt they will come up with something to reinvent the show yet again.

Glad she had fun, hope to see them both back for the series finale, whenever that is. Just hope it's done up right, One Tree Hill is legendary to me now and it wouldn't feel right if it was wrapped up poorly.

But considering this was just in the article I posted before, probably not.

I never watch this show. Used to live next door to Bethany Joy she drives a Hyundai and has no personality. They filmed a few scenes at the apartment complex at the club house and outside one of the buildings. I'd like to see Sophia Bush do some girl on girl like she did in Nip Tuck hot!

Tons of Finale spoilers ahead..........I might actually watch it

Quote:
The sixth-season finale of CW fan favorite One Tree Hill airs this Monday and with it comes the end of an era. Chad Michael Murray and Hilarie Burton, the show's long-standing lead characters, are saying sayonara to the town of Tree Hill. You all had so many questions about what that means that we couldn't resist doing a very special spoiler chat just about OTH.

Keep reading for all the spoilery goodness about the season finale and the future of North Carolina's best and brightest...

Danielle in Brookvale, NSW, Australia: Please tell me Brooke and Julian get together!? It's about time there is a happy ending for Brooke. So far this season she has had her company, lost her company, had Sam, lost Sam, had Julian, lost Julian and officially lost Lucas to Peyton. Please give Brooke some love!
It's sweet how concerned you are about Brooke's future...and rightly so. The poor girl has been to hell and back this season—don't forget that break-in and beating! Luckily, TPTB over in Tree Hill took note and her happy ending is on the way. Julian is back in the finale and it looks like B. Davis is finally getting her fairy-tale "movie" ending. And who better to give it to her than the Hollywood director himself? We're just sayin'.

Jaymes in Oakland: Since Katie Voegle's CD is coming out in real life too, is Mia going to stick around Tree Hill?
Mia and Chase (Stephen Coletti) are still going strong, but she is getting ready to hit the road to promote her new album. In the finale, Chase shows up at Mia's CD signing and what she writes definitely makes for an awww-worthy moment. No word yet on if the duo will be back in the restructured show next year.

Joan in Los Angeles: I can't imagine One Tree Hill without Hilarie Burton and Chad Michael Murray. I hope they didn't really leave because of money issues!
While we can't speak for CMM (although that video from a few months back spoke volumes), our best frenemy scored an interview with Hilarie after the news of her departure broke, and it sounds like at least her departure from the show was pretty amicable. Hilarie said, "Everyone was kind of agreeable about the situation. There were a lot of really wonderful conversations. It wasn't a rash decision; a lot of thought, emotion and kindness was put into it. I would hope that that's the story that gets out."

What about Nick Lachey? Is he coming back for more?

If you mean is there any more "Nick Lachey-ing" in the finale, thankfully, no. The former pop star's last appearance of the season was last week, but if you just can't get enough of their constant first-and-last-name-calling of Nick Lachey, check out this week's Condensed Soup on E! Online for Joel McHale's take on the cameos. Hilarious!

lc_mundell: Does Ashley Rickards (Sam) make an appearance at all in the One Tree Hill finale? You said everything ends so pleasantly, and I can't imagine Brooke having a happy ending that doesn't involve Sam.
Unfortunately Sam doesn't come back, but there is a sweet moment with Brooke talking to Sam on the phone. Like we said before, don't worry about Brooke's happy ending. It's on the way.

Amyjbennett: We know that James Lafferty filmed with the NBA's Bobcats. Is that a dream sequence?
Interesting question, Amy. If by dream sequence you mean a scene that is dream-like because Nathan can't believe it's true, then yes, Nathan joining the Bobcats is a dream sequence.

Karen Novak: I would like to know if Dan Scott lives or if they are going to have him die? Please don't have him die as he adds so much to the show and his relationship with Jamie is adorable.
Dan is still alive and kicking, but definitely still struggling with his conscience. In fact, the finale finds him in the company of a familiar—and beloved—former Tree Hill face who becomes a surprising ally in the birth of a new Dan Scott. In fact, two former castmembers are back for the finale. Guesses?

Sabrina in Prescott, Ariz: Is Millicent leaving Mouth behind and moving to New York? How could Brooke do that to them!
Don't worry about this adorkable couple. They'll survive whatever unexpected changes come to Clothes Over Bros.

Jessica: If Lucas and Peyton aren't coming back to One Tree Hill, do they at least get a proper send-off?
That has been the topic of discussion this week and in our opinion, the answer is yes. If you haven't already heard, cover your eyes now: Peyton and baby Scott beat the odds and live happily ever after in the finale. Okay, so it's not that cut-and-dried, but after all of the heartache and loss Peyton has survived during six seasons of OTH, this final episode is a cakewalk. All elements of Lucas-Peyton saga are present in their final scene and we even get the traditional Chad Michael Murray voiceover. Fans are not left with a big question mark ending for Leyton. In fact, we'd go as far as to say that they do get their happily ever after.

So there you have it. Life, death, and the future of a Leyton-less One Tree Hill. Are you looking forward to the finale? What do you think season seven will bring to this basketball driven town?

Meh as much as I LOVE OTH, I would not recommend watching the finale blind without seeing the rest of the season first, might be a bit confusing.

It's a soap opera, I'm sure I can make it through without the incredible writing styles of Mark Swan confusing me, lol. I didn't say I'd watch with audio either. I just want me some Brunette beauties......
