Major 'One Tree Hill' Contract News (SPOILER ALERT)

I haven't watched 'One Tree Hill' in several years now but I know it has a lot of fans and anyways i thought fans would like to know about this. Do not read if you do not want major spoilers for the future of the show...................

It looks like One Tree Hill newlyweds Peyton and Lucas are about to embark on a permanent honeymoon.

Sources confirm to me exclusively that Chad Michael Murray and Hilarie Burton, whose characters tied the knot in last night's penultimate episode, will not be returning for the show's seventh season next fall. The CW is expected to formally announce their departures next Thursday at its upfront presentation.

Murray and Burton have been engaged in rather high-profile contract negotiations for the past several months. Ultimately, a deal couldn't be worked out and both actors will make their final appearances in next Monday's season finale.

To fill the void next season, a Hill insider tells me that two new characters will be introduced. Additionally, Austin Nichols (Julian) is being promoted to a series regular.

well that pretty much guarantees that the 7th season will be its last
i don't think it will last without those two

i actually like this show, its not my typical choice of viewing (smallville, 24 being typical) but for some reason i like to watch it

I saw the first 4 seasons because my ex was a fan, it was the only show she watched outside of the OC, so I was forced to watch them both once a week but at least I found Sophia Bush to be quite fun to look at, lol. I found it crazy to read that the 2 stars are leaving the show, that never bodes well for a show, but like i said I haven't watched in several years and they might not even be the primary focus anymore so without seeing it I honestly don't know how it would effect the rest of the show.

OTH is running out of main cast so yes losing CMM and HB will probably be the end of OTH's 7 season run. Not to mention another cast member got busted for SS fraud so his status for season 7 is also up in the air.

Damn Skills, what a dumbass thing to get caught for when you make a lot of money even as a recurring guest star........but he's a celebrity so he'll just do community service so I wouldn't worry.

yea sophia bush is pretty fun to look at
Bethany Joy Galeotti lately also and Kate Vogelle (sp?)

i guess they are considered the focus still, i still consider them the focus even though the show has been trying lately (last season or so) to focus on everyone (obviously they saw this coming)

I ran into Bethany Joy about two years ago I was on a trip across my state of Washington and she was at a diner with her husband in one of the little towns I was going through I'd been through several times before, only came to find out later she lives in Battle Creek and that's the town I stopped off in. She is even better looking in person

I watched like 2 minutes of an episode of OTH a few months back and WTF happened to Sophia's voice? She always had a raspy voice but it used to sound sexy and what I heard she sounded like she had strep throat. But I am unfamiliar with Kate Vogelle.

Holy hell is Kate Voegele gorgeous! That is one perfect example of an insanely gorgeous girl........never heard of her before but I won't be forgetting now. She almost makes me want to watch this show again..............But the only way to solidify this for me would be for her and Sophia to enter into a different relationship than I'm sure they have

Just to keep Wyldeman from watching this show, the characters brooke Davis and Mia rarely interact. Mia is pretty much the show's songstress now and Brooke is a fashionistas. I've always wanted to see Haley and Brooke date, too bad that's not possible.

Bethany Joy has got a fantastic backside from what I saw in person anyways. On the show she always looked rather frumpy and covered up. Strange how tv shows cast gorgeous women and never accentuate their ASSets.

One of my favourite things about season 6 is they've actually given Haley more of a "Brooke" look. Short dark curly hair, making her the second hottest woman on the show right now. She's actually hot enough that I'd at least consider watching OTH without Sophia.

kate voegelle is the best looking one on the show to me, then galeotti, then bush and burton

burton was better looking in whatever season she had the straight blonde hair

Mouth actually has 2 gorgeous women vying for his attention this season...Gigi and Millicent. They don't get a lot of screen-time or attention lately but I think they're both smoking hot.
