Ok so are the couple of goofs posted on the other page the only apparent ones? I'm talking more specifically about the crew members arm.
If it's the only obvious one I don't care. Its kinda funny. Slight equipment/edge of set being visible does not bother me. I can't even tell in Sandy's living room. I preordered the US set. I see someone got the other 2 to play on a PS3 but I didn't care much either way for the Horror Show or Part 4. Are they truly region free or just a stoke of luck PS3 is compatible? |

Someone should find out the average space that gets added whenever Arrow gets a Lakeshore film with more image area.
That way a black cardboard sheet (measured properly for proper framing) can be placed on the TV to mask out the unnecessary information. |

(using this shot as reference: http://www.caps-a-holic.com/c.php?go...65296&i=11&l=0) With the House disc in hand it would be simple to do likewise on most projectors with a properly-framed shot as a reference for the necessary adjustments. I'd probably use this shot: http://www.caps-a-holic.com/c.php?go...97706&i=10&l=0 Last edited by kidglov3s; 03-28-2017 at 09:05 AM. |

Just looking at the capsaholic shots I don't like the black levels too much. Do you see really deep blacks? Everything looks a bit brightened up as well.

What is with Arrow and constantly messing up framing? I love them but quite a few of their higher-profile releases in the last couple years have had framing issues that they refuse to fix. B&BL, Hellraiser III, Creepshow II, and now this...
I know some think that maybe Lakeshore won't let them fix the issues. Well, if that is true, Arrow should not be licensing Lakeshore films and selling fans faulty products. |

Again do these goofs bother people that much? The one with the arm is obviously annoying but the other stuff like bricks or equipment isn't that bad unless they stick out or linger on screen. A lot of movies have slip ups like this.
I don't have mine yet and I'm sure I'll be able to spot the differences because I've seen the movie so much it's ingrained in my mind but is it really filled with mistakes or are these just the worst offenders? Matter of fact I've noticed the whole wall wobbles just before he opens the closet the first time that monster is revealed. It's especially noticeable since the shot has him turn back to open the door after the clock rings. This can be seen in general on the DVD. Probably VHS too. |

Well I have to admit I don't know much about ratios but if something is slightly off like the toilet being off center someone mentioned I think that's a pretty extreme nitpick.
Like I said I'm sure I'll spot the differences. Especially if they're as obvious as that arm but things being slightly askew is really not a problem imo. I don't know about the other movies mentioned in this topic. |

Again, if this was Scream Factory people would be looking to burn those responsible at the stake until they had a replacement issued. Arrow seems to get away with this time and time again, and people just shrug it off as meh, seeing a grip in a shot once in a while isn't that big of a deal. The framing for the whole movie is off, it's noticeable, and it is a big deal! Hellraiser 3 definitely should have been re-issued, even more so considering it was a $100 for three films.
And I guarantee it has nothing to do with Lakeshore demanding they release their films with these misframings. That makes no sense, especially when no other release has had these issues. If Arrow preferred this wrong framing, or it's all they were given, they should have given fair warning, and at the least fixed the couple of shots with the stage or grips showing on screen. Scream re-issued Child's Play because the mono track was reversed, which I doubt many people even use, and Arrow can't re-issue these films that have obvious framing issues. It's just them being cheap! |

Other people on this and other forums have confirmed all of the installments as region free. The prices of the US and UK sets are basically the same. Might as well get the UK set for the 2 extra movies.

Asumedly Arrow's re-release was not re-encoded? Not to get too off-topic, but the upcoming Cinespectral Mediabook will be 1:85 instead of Arrow's 1:78. |
