The only exception to this was Spider-Man Homecoming, because of Sony agreeing to work with Marvel to allow Spider-Man as part of the shared universe. So Marvel Studios was heavily involved with that film. But in terms of all of the other films that Fox and Sony have put out so far, Marvel Studios hasn't been involved (they don't even have any real major involvement in the new Venom movie that is coming out, despite it being part of the Spider-Man character film rights). At most, when they felt it necessary, those other studios may have reached out for advice here or there, but otherwise Marvel has no direct involvement. They sure as hell wouldn't have any involvement in scheduling when the movies come out. If Marvel Studios were as heavily involved with those other films as you seem to think they are, then we never would have gotten that piece-of-shit Fantastic Four reboot a few years ago. Deadpool 2 is coming out when it is because the first film was a surprise run away success, making way more money than anticipated, especially due to it's R rating. So Fox is now comfortable with releasing Deadpool 2 during the prime summer blockbuster season. If anything, Fox (with no input from Marvel/Disney) may have decided to release it just a few weeks after Infinity War, figuring that the "Marvel hype-train" would still be going in full effect, and they could capitalize on that by releasing one of their Marvel-character based films at that time. If Marvel Studios had any real vested interest in, as well as a say in the scheduling of Deadpool 2, they likely would have spaced it out more from Infinity War. It would have been at minimum more akin to the amount of time between the release dates of Black Panther and Infinity War. Disney/Marvel is not in the business of competing with themselves. |

I've just booked tickets to see this again Saturday morning and I'm sure I'll be doing it for Sunday too. Loved the action, Thanos and the Black Order, it was a shame Ebony Maw got dispatched so quickly as I would have liked to see more of him.

Marvel will have her own movie before she shows up to help the Avengers, so I also dont understand your beef there either. |

Disagree. The scene in the elevator is almost a eulogy of Loki and their relationship from Thor. Also as others have said I feel Korg and Valkyrie are in the half that made it.

First off, shout out to the f*cking a$$hole couple sitting beside me who felt the need to talk and cuddle throughout the whole movie.
Anyways, getting the nitpicks out of the way: Absolutely none of the humor worked for me, aside from [Show spoiler] It made the film tonally inconsistent at times. The CGI was awful. Every shot with Tony, Peter and [Show spoiler] was terrible when their masks were off. Thanos on the other hand looked great throughout.Silvestri's music didn't work for me. There needed to be more somber, bone chilling music that really drove home the direness of the situation. Pros: For the first time in a long time, I felt scared for the characters. The stakes were REAL. You could FEEL how hopeless they were. Thanos was great. His motives were simple and well explained. I understood what he wanted and why. His relationship with [Show spoiler] I'd say he's up there with the Vulture as one of the strongest villains of the MCU.Loved most of the fight scenes, especially between Thanos and [Show spoiler] 8/10 For the first time in a long time I'm actually looking forward to an MCU film. Hoping Marvel can continue with more films like this and less of their previous uninspired efforts. Oh and the post-credits scene: [Show spoiler] Oh and [Show spoiler]

Lifelong comic fan. Absolutely loved it. Brings me back to Avengers Annual 7 and Starlin's runs.
Some thoughts/speculation. When Tony asks Dr. Strange, why he did it, most think it was for Tony, but Strange remarked something like, 'the game is in its final stages,' or something like that. I'm thinking Strange is always strategizing and did it for a purpose and a plan. We don't know what yet, though. Seeing the distress call to Captain Marvel, I expect to see some heavy cosmic players come out. Hopefully Warlock, and maybe even Uatu (as they already showed watchers), but the intro to Warlock's sister was terrible, like she's a comic relief character. Didn't enjoy banner doing mostly non hulk, would have liked to see more Hulk, but it's ok. Red Skull was very unexpected and awesome. Dr. Strange killed it. Iron spider suit was cool. Scarlett Witch is so much more powerful than comics. Kept thinking what if Dark Phoenix showed up with all the lady cliques... wouldn't that be something. Same here. I literally started feeling sick watching all those characters disintegrate, and I could not get over the fact that Gamora dies here. She was definitely in my top 5 favorite characters in the MCU. I really hope they bring her back.
Watching it the second time, I cringed super hard and almost had to look away when Thanos kills Gamora. It really got to me. Like others have said, of course there’s no way all those disintegrated characters stay dead (Kevin Feige pretty much confirmed the Spider-Man sequel already), but I do wonder who will come back and who will die in part 2. Sweet baby James, a whole year to find out... I’m watching it tomorrow again in Laser IMAX 3D. Hopefully I can make it through without passing out lol. |

Something that I noticed while watching the credits, waiting for the post-credits scene...
As is often the case when a movie uses clips from an existing production (especially when owned by another studio), they credit that in the end credits, typically towards the end of them. In the Infinity War credits, it says something about a character from Arrested Development (as in the TV series) and the rights belonging to Fox. Did anyone notice a character or any kind of reference to Arrested Development in the movie? |

Biggest claps:
Captain America reveal Thor, Groot and Rocket arrive in Wakanda Biggest laughs: Tony Stark's face when he meets the incompetent guardians But the audience was into pretty much everything and reacted at everything. I can only say that about one other mcu movie, the first Avengers. |

Nearly 24 hours on and I can't stop thinking about it. I'm completely love struck. It's been a very long time since a film had this kind of effect on me.

Because as he said to Tony in regards to giving thanos the stone.. it's the only way... Suspect he and others have to lose in order to win later.

All these things that were said in this film have to have an implication in A4.
Like with Strange and the Mind Stone - that was the easiest thing to deduct that the one way that they beat Thanos was to hand that Stone over as Tony/IM is vital to their victory. I'm also going to hedge a bet and say that within A4, they go to the point where Vision is being created and they create him the way that Shuri suggested as opposed to the way that Stark/Banner did it, therefore making it easier to get the mind stone out of Vision and destroying it. **** - my mind is seriously blown from this film. Can't wait to see it again on Monday. |
