I'd be fine if we find out Thanos wiped Trish and Darcy from the "Thor" movies off the face of existence when he snapped his fingers.

That's not my point. I explained what the films effect (or lackof) had on me emotionally. And what happens when the story has to serve so many characters and plotting that there was hardly any room to build that emotional heft (save for scene with Thor & Rocket and Peter's death).

I feel weird about this being a one half of a story. I don't want to be too cynical because this is the MCU, the most lucrative cinematic model at the moment so it's ingrained in the model. But the Russos clearly said this wasn't part 1 of two part story, so it feels a bit weird.

errr.... yeah I know that but Banner has been gone since the end of AOU...he has been so far out of the loop and I don't think he has been updated on what Tony has been doing all this time with his tech. It must be in a deleted scene. Remember that one shot of Banner next to a piece of the Hulk Buster's arm?

This movie had the chance to push RDJr aside and make room for someone new. There is no way Tony can save the universe...it will just boost his ego even further.

I thought about this when I went to Cinemark after the movie to get the collectible cups and tin, but I was like shit I got a sleep study device I got to put on tonight and I am starving plus I just was still in shock after all those scenes.

Stark is definitely gonna be a big part of saving the day/defeating Thanos. It seems almost obvious that he'll have to sacrifice himself to save the others.

Tony will die at the end. I would be surprised if he doesn't.

Avengers 4 better have a satisfying ending. I don't care if they make more movies after it, but 4 needs to feel like a real ending.

This movie had a lot of flaws. Avengers 1 is still better for me by a long shot. Thor saved thisvmpvie, without him I would have been pretty bored. It’s a fun movie but nowhere near the praise people are making it out to be, but each to their own I suppose. I would give it a 3.5/5 which is a good film on my ranking system

Because in the ONE scenario where they SO win, that is what plays out. He said "We're still in the game..." or something of the sort to Tony when asked why?

Who's to say that still won't happen in the next film. I beleive it may be him and Cap that are going die.

Drax joke. Are you sure you saw it?

That is what he was arguing with Pepper about. This isn't anything like his previous reactor. It has nano technology so he can put his Iron Man suit on at any moment. She wants him to leave the whole superhero thing behind but he feels obligated.

Unless he dies in doing so.

Honestly some of the dialog was kinda muffled in some scenes at my theater IMAX viewing. I may have missed that or just didn't care for that piece of dialog.

The movie set up a few things...

1. Captain America and Iron Man will reunite.

2. People will come back who died. Dr. Strange did everything but actually say it directly.

I really hope they bring back Captain America's iconic shield. It's not the same with those forearm shields.

Time travel is always a horrible device in movies. 1) it makes no sense most of the time, and 2) It feels like a cheap trick to change up the action. I am fully aware the Time stone is from the comics, but I wish they didn't go down that route for the major climax of the saga.

The entire theatre gasped when Tony was skewered by Thanos and believed that was it for him. I think it’ll be hard to get audiences as invested in another moment like that in the next movie. They’ve already experienced a fake out with Stark, so if the time actually comes in the next movie they’ll be thinking “here we go again” instead of actually believing it could happen. At least I will.

Overall I thought Thanos was a very good character in this movie. He felt very real compared to other MCU villains. JB did an amazing job with his performance. I don't know how I can compare his performance to Cable in a few weeks.

As for Red Skull, honestly from what I could tell only a small handful of people knew who Red Skull was. If he would have spent a bit more time telling who he was or even mentioned Hydra (I don't think he did) then the audience would have connected with him easier. It's been 7 years so I am sure people forgot about him. You could tell it wasn't HW in make up but a CG version of Skull.
