I don't get why this is available widely for pre-order outside America, but not in the United States yet. Fox seem to be encouraging not buying the US edition in this regard.

The new BD is already up for pre-order in the UK, France, Germany and Japan. The specifications and extras are known. I highly doubt that the US will receive anything particularly unique that would require a significant delay in the announcement and pre-ordering of a US edition, particularly as a UHD combo is very unlikely at the moment.

Fox is also doing this with the first season of the Cinemax series Outcast, which has just been released in the UK, and is either released or up for pre-order in the rest of Europe, Australia and Japan, but does not even have a release date in the States at the moment.

The situation is frustrating, especially as the US really should have been the first to get a press release and pre-order going for both of these titles.

While I am not a big steelbook collector I will admit that Zavvi steelbook is nice, and appears already sold-out. Perhaps we will see a USA exclusive steelbook perhaps from Best Buy. I personally like the UK cover art, it's different, and nicely done.

I know that is a Blu ray, but all I am thinking when I look at that is mid 90s VHS bootleg.

All cover artworks for the movie are meh. So I don't see any reason to be attached to any of them.

The problem for me is that it was perfectly fine to throw around clumsy phrases like "4K remaster" when there was no 4K disc option (like fairly recent BDs such as MEN IN BLACK, GLORY and TAXI DRIVER), but now that we're actually 3/4 of a year into UHD, and the sales for the format are rather robust (compared to BD's debut year), I'd appreciate a bit more "bending over backwards" in these articles to precisely clarify if what is being reported is a UHD release or a 1080p version of a 4K scan.

It's a bluray release from a 4k remaster.

I'm sure it ends up coming out here at roughly the same time. Fox US just haven't gotten around to announcing it yet.

Who's to say Scream's release of Bad Moon kept the WB logo intact and they no longer have the rights to that film.

Now HeAT is a slighter highter profile film and FOX a major studio so i'd guess the WB logo would be snipped off.

Not good, but I think I prefer it over the high-school level photoshop job of the UK release.

The dark background is better.

Heat is a dark movie and the color scheme should reflect that imo.

...white is such a limp color.
