It's a REAL difference that does matter to some people.

Mine arrived today from Amazon in their typical brown PAPER BAG. Of course it is bent to hell like someone stepped on it. And of course I can't return for a new one right now because it's out of stock.

Got mine from Orbit today, will give it a watch sometime during the week. Steelbook looks nice in person, too.

Thank you so much for the info buddy Good thing i still have the old DTS-dvd. I'll remux the audio with the new disc. My SVS sub will get a work-out.
Update: Done. For those interested; The timing difference between the DVD and the UHD is about a second. Add the following delay when muxing: -1032 ms.

Code:
UHD: 02:18:21.933
DVD: 02:18:22.965
--------------------
Difference: -1032 ms
--------------------
I also added the old fun DTS-intro :

btw, didn't know about the 'War Of the Worlds' filtering. I better get the old BD. I should be able to get it pretty cheap.

Literally THE most important question to be asked of anyone discussing sound on these forums....I stopped because I'd be made to feel like a dick... Usually by someone claiming that ATMOS sucks and OG MONO was the way to go because that sounded more authentic...through their headphones...

Cool, and you're welcome. Oh, and add Edge of Tomorrow to the list. BIG difference between the BD and the UHD.

Managing an online store is hard for a $200+ Billion Dollar Company it seems.

Vudu and Fandango Now are the same place, but have individual icons on their web page.

FYI Sony has an eBay store called pleaserewind that was/is selling this for retail price. They frequently restock and was a great place to grab tombstone while it was selling out everywhere.

i saw master and commander in the movie theater when it came out...and the theater was empty because everyone was watching the first pirates of the caribbean..and they did not give it a chance...when it came to the dvd and blu ray it immediately got a cult following..and they saw it was smart intelligent and endearing

maybe disney thought no one woulf buy the 4k..i think having a limited run is a stupid business model

im with you they should have made a lot more 4k discs

My copy arrived today from Amazon with no issues in the standard, thin blue and white bubble wrapper. Steelbook in perfect shape and disc in hub, no scratches.
