So I ask, is it ok to return blu-rays for the packaging alone?

I see nothing wrong with that. I've returned BDs for having spines cut when an employee opens the shipping box with too much force, slashing the BDs horizontally across the spines. I've not learned to check all over for any damage while in the store.

I started panicking and was like,"Do I really have to sit here and wait for you to watch the movie?", and the girl says yes. I finally said, "Look, the packaging was a little bit damaged and I just want a new copy ok." Finally she stopped the movie and just exchanged it for me. Was she just screwing with me or is this a new return policy or something?
Its a return policy thing. I remember at Wal-Mart, I b*tched to them that my WWE SummerSlam 2004 DVD had a audio defect where the sound stopped halfway through the main event so she watched it with me to make sure I wasn't making it up. Then she did the same thing with another copy, same result, so she pulled all the DVDs off the shelf.

OK I have my copy but I'm SUPER confused. OK all 3 disc look the same in the packaging, what are the difference in the 3 disc's, secondly if I want to watch the LONGEST version possible, wihch version do I watch. I looked at the back to see what each disc has but it just whats all availble.

In case people watch the longer one and prefer the re-release extended edition that was put in cinemas. What does it matter anyway? It's not like it used up any real extra amount of space.

Also could people stop saying the extended version is the directors cut. It isn't, the theatrical version is.

Yeah, but James Cameron says that for all his films! Funny enough, I find the extended version of Aliens to be superior to the theatrical version.

Up until 24 hours ago this wasn't even on my radar and I was perfectly content to stick to the barebones disc. But the reviews caught my eye, and the urge to buy something new came again like it always does! Ended up trading in the old disc and putting it towards the new set. I just finished watching the great 100 min documentary, and I think that alone was worth the purchase!

The collectors edition should have been 3 hours, not 2 hours 58

Because god damn, that deleted scene with Quaritch taking over? Holy crap! That should have been in the extended edition without a doubt!
