Sad to say no I am not. Super broke due to my addiction to art prints and framing.

Speaking of that I just got these back from my framer today.

Amazing

Love the colored outlines and how they match the posters.

There were lots of posters for sale on the floor at Planet Comicon. But I didn't buy any, who knows if they were originals anyways. But my Godzilla one I got for free is. Or at least its double sided.

Got one of the Captain America posters in today. After so many showing up in good shape I guess I was due for a damaged one. Of course it's one of the advances. For anyone who ordered a Frozen bus shelter be prepared. When I ordered the John Carter bus shelter it arrived extra damaged. Due to the long tube size it was bent in the middle causing damage through out the poster. also the usual side damage. Good luck.

My Frozen bus shelter showed up yesterday and I would say I got pretty lucky as it is in pretty solid shape. One end was bent in a bit, but considering the size of the box and distance it had to travel I'm please. I know kinsella says it all the time, but it would just take a tiny bit more effort on DMR part and they could ship these things out mint.

My girls went banana's over the bus shelter, I was officially declared the 'best dad ever'.

This doesn't surprise me at all, and is very unfortunate because people are using their points to get these and expect them to arrive in near-mint/mint condition only to receive their items for the most part damaged and thus, not as collectible. Perhaps I should contact them and offer up my services and contract with them, I would make sure posters are packaged and shipped out the proper way.

Don't have a lot to share I'm afraid, the poster got rolled back up and put back into the box awaiting our move. I will post some in a couple of months when it finds a new home in the new house.

Default Mondo's Ansin/Tong Prints

Mondo will start offering the first wave of Martin Ansin and Kevin Tong prints from their recent show sometime tomorrow. Prices from those who already have them selling on eBay are quite low, for example the Ansin "Alien" one seems around the $100 level or less.

How do you plan on displaying it? I considered building my own frame for bus shelters. Now I'm thinking of using a large piece of foam core and a mat to hold the poster. to cover the window I thought about using a large piece of acetate or something like that.

I have no bloody idea this thing is gigantic. No way I'm going to back light it... I am going to build the girls a playroom in the new house so believe it or not I've got visions of just tacking it up on the wall, I didn't buy it as a collectors piece so I'm not terribly concerned about it getting a little beat up, I just don't even know where to start.

Since Bus Shelter posters are generally 4 feet by 6 feet in size, having it professionally framed would cost a small fortune so your idea of making a frame would be best, but because of the size, I assume you going to go with something glass-less, because glass that size would not only be very expensive but add a lot of weight to it. Plexi-glass would be lighter, or maybe even avoid it all together.

My Dark Knight Rises bus shelters are insanely detailed, the studio used a thick matte-finish paper so you get a lot of detail and I think glass would take away from that. Most bus shelter posters are a thicker grade of paper, some much thicker than others, and then you get into the vinyl banners which are very thick, yet can be rolled up with ease but because its vinyl they are built to withstand abuse, etc.
