The gallery posted that they would only be selling certain ones spread out over a while I believe, the first one they will release online is the Englert one. you may want to contact Gallery 1988 for more detailed information though.

MoviePoster.com has the character teasers for $75 each or damaged ones for cheaper. I have them cheaper than that if you need them, just PM me. The final style I have not yet seen out there yet. |

Are the ones you are seeing that up on eBay the same image....art-wise they could be but check out the wording on the poster....are the sellers on eBay using "stock" images or are they taking a photo of the poster? The reason I ask is because this appears to not be a "final" style as it just says "Coming Soon" and I don't believe this particular image was used as a third "teaser" advance style. The final style should have full credits at the bottom.

It really doesn't matter if they are "good" as you stated, its all about supply and demand and from a poster dealer's stand point, very few dealers were able to get the teaser styles so not many of them are out there. Remember theaters generally get their posters in damaged, not always, but a lot of the times due to them being poorly packed by the distribution hubs for studios, they often suffer damage on the sides which is commonly referred to as "edge wear". When you see that term being used by a dealer, or by a private seller, chances are they came from a theater. Those dealers with good contacts generally get posters in packaged up in quantity without any damage to them so actual "mint" condition posters for pretty much all films can be very difficult to obtain. MoviePoster.com had their teasers originally priced around $80+ each, they must have lowered their price a little down to $74.99 each. I have been charging $45 for each style and they sell quite well as a collector can get a set of two for a little more than what they charge for one poster.

Also this could be a Real 3D style, I know that there are times when studios issue posters for Real 3D theaters, I have a Monsters vs. Aliens style that was one of them, had a big pair of Real 3D glasses on it with the characters, 27x40, double-sided, etc. More than likely IF this style isn't the final version, the artwork will be on it and the credits will be added at the bottom. |

Well it appears to be authentic, but it just doesn't seem like the actual "final" style poster, but as I mentioned in my last post it could be a Real 3D exclusive style. Perhaps you can contact the eBay seller, ask him to look at the back of the poster, and verify if it is a "lighter" shade on the back than on the front. Originals should be as the majority of double-sided originals being printed nowadays by studios have a lighter backside, still double-sided, but the back isn't as "vibrant" as the front.

If you can check the one at your theater and see if it has the full credits on it, report back here. Just curious if FOX is going with a credit-final or is the one mentioned above the final without credits. Odd if they don't have credits....

I'm about to get my original aussie daybills framed. Laid them all out and took a photo beforehand...

I believe I have the domestic style in stock, double-sided, but isn't the glossy/matte version mentioned above. Double-sided originals exist for certain, whomever you saw selling the one mentioned probably only has single-sided. There was that all black-suited Spider-Man 3 poster in the rain that was only printed single-sided, someone posted an image a few weeks back I believe and I responded to it and the particulars around that poster. |
