I went to the hardware store today and got wire hanger line and the eye hooks but the screws that it came with are too thin to fit in the pre-drilled holes in the frame. I guess I could just drill my own holes...or I have to figure out what size screws would go into the frame? Any advice?
Have you considered using 3m's Command products? No making holes and easily removable if needed.

I'm thinking about taking all my movie posters out and wrap them in nice paper for storage. Anyone have any clue on what I should use? It probably should be acid free paper right?

Did anyone by chance grab that Tom Whalen Terminator 2 print today from Mondo? And even by fatter chance do you want to part with it for a reasonable price for your time and effort?

Let me know, longtime member here and have nothing but positive feedback here from others.

Petrie's is my favorite of the recent slew of Ghostbusters prints. Snagged this last week & love it.

Would have loved a crack at that Ken Taylor No Country for Old Men poster from his recent Mondo show. Too bad it sold out at the show and now the aftermarket on it is already going for upwards of $400 but hopefully it cools off here soon before it gets to his Halloween price levels.

I could be wrong but I don't see this ever reaching Halloween price levels. The film just doesn't have as strong a following and despite this being a great print it's demand is being fueled by a ton of hype currently.

Where'd you purchase this print from if you don't mind me asking?

Got it from a seller on EB HERE. Paid more than retail but not as much as his asking price now.

With an ES of 300 you should have a good chance once they do an online drop though, and I believe they will. So if you're patient I'd wait. If you're like me however and are generally working when 90% of these things drop and don't mind paying a few bucks more not to have to hassle with it then consider making this guy and offer. Dude shipped next day.

I agree, the hype over NCFOM is now, Halloween is a classic with a very large cult following. Taylor did a great job with the Halloween print, and his NCFOM one is quite nice too, but prices will probably fall eventually a bit. Was it confirmed they sold out completely at the event? I would think some would show up online but perhaps not. I think the Halloween one was only for that Halloween screening in Los Angeles a few years ago with Carpenter in attendance.

Yeah several members who attended the show confirmed it sold out. Though I'd take it all with a grain of salt as it could be more fuel for the hype machine seeing as how a lot of those same individuals are probably trying to flip a copy to cover show expenses.

The comparisons to Halloween really start and stop with the style of print and similar total ES though. The big thing with NCFOM is the fact that there was no variant. With only a regular at an ES of 325 collectors are scrambling at the moment. If you add the Reg. & Variant Halloween together (not including APs, which we may see for NCFOM too) Halloween is only 5 less in total than NCFOM.

And you're correct about Halloween only being available at the New Beverly Cinema screening with Carpenter a couple years ago. Tickets were $250-$500 a pop and included the print. A regular and/or a variant depending on how much you paid, so it already had some built in value to it. Never mind the fact that the film is the very definition of a cult classic.

You have a point, perhaps people are saying it sold out there to cause a secondary market frenzy from now until the time Mondo drops them online, trust me, it would not surprise me IF that was the case. I just can't imagine all of these selling out at the screening, but I have been wrong in the past.

I remember them advertising the Halloween event, I believe VIP Meet & Greet tickets were $500 but a person got the variant I believe for paying that amount and getting to meet Carpenter and have him sign it, etc.

Yeah I believe that was correct and for $250 you got the regular. In hindsight I wish I would've made the trip as I forked over a pretty penny for my variant. For a few hundred more I could've enjoyed the event too.

Hindsight consumes us all....I should never have sold the five Martin Ansin Phantom of the Opera metallic variants that I had seeing that only twenty five were made. Trust me I have plenty of stories like this. LOL!

Default MondoCon 2014

Looks like Mondo is putting on a convention of their own in the middle of September in Austin Texas called MondoCon. Tickets are available now, more than likely there will be plenty of prints being offered there, some, or maybe all, exclusive to the event.

This doesn't surprise me at all, they have been traveling to various conventions checking out how things flow, including here at Emerald City this past March. I have met Justin a few times, he is really nice guy and I hope this con does quite well for them.

Not sure how many tickets will be available, but more info is here:

http://mondo-con.com/

I have a convention to do in Portland Oregon the same weekend, but if I don't set-up, I may have to consider finally getting down to Austin.

My movie theatre has a giant long hallway filled with 27x40 poster frames I wish I knew what kind they were.

Is there any cheap non-glare poster frames anywhere?

EDIT: Also, when movieposter.com sells something with "creases" how bad are they?

More than likely those are light box frames at your theater. Are they illuminated? I am unsure on the non-glare poster frames, I suspect someone will chime in. I generally have my one-sheets professionally framed but haven't had anything done in quite some time.

Not sure on MoviePoster.com and their "creases" more than likely they would be quite noticable, probably either a consignment poster they are selling for someone or used posters from a theater perhaps. Which title is it you are looking for? I can check my inventory if its something I have in stock.
