I just canceled my delayed Afro Samurai steelbook and ordered one from Amazon. Paid about $7 more but didn't want to chance missing it.

Same. Too bad it slipped an inch off the actual case and ended up getting totally mangled along the way (and sh*t-canned).

I have a love/hate relationship with slips. But mostly they exhaust me. If someone gave me a decent offer tomorrow on ALL my slipcovers...

Thank God I don't get worked up over slip covers because mine arrived today seriously damaged. I picture some people curled up in the fetal position right now just at the thought of it.

I went to my local Target store today. Surprisingly, they have two cardboard stand with DVD's and Blu-ray's. Unfortunately there aren't any 4K Blu-rays. It's a relabeled cardboard stand so every store will have exactly the same thing if they have it.

Just checked and our preorders are preparing for shipment too. I didn't realize the Disney series were coming out so soon. I was really hoping target's price would fall in line with amazon's before they shipped, so we'd get $32 in refunds.

Well they are cheaper if you did buy 2 get 1 free with them at Target.

Oh I already got the best deal I could swing, overall, between targets bogo and their 5% birthday coupon, which was the clincher. But even there it was still a hard sale for me; they're still over $10 more than I'm typically willing to pay for a single season. It's too early to tell if this is the new low for D+ seasons or if I should have waited another year or so. Target auto-refunds preorders, where their price drops, even for bogo sales. And if amazon and walmart are both selling preorders for $50, traditionally target would be too. I'm not sure that'll happen now that they're outsourcing media sales, but BB outsourced media sales for many years, or at least stocking in its stores was handled by a third party, and it didn't seem to affect their pricing. I'm not sure how that compares to what target's doing yet.
