The newest Target in the Des Moines, IA metro opened in Waukee about a month ago. Finally got the chance to go there a week ago. ZERO movies in the store. Not. A. One. Lots of books and vinyl. Even my wife (who rolls her eyes whenever a new movie shows up in the mail or Amazon) said "Really?"

I would say generally target doesn’t bother to remove new releases from the b2g1 sale as they don’t even generally remove preorders at the start.

From what I recall, they seem to remove more new releases than preorders. Seems like it might depend on the studio though.

As long as Target keeps having B2G1FREE for Blu-ray and 4K online sales, i could care less if they carry movies in store. Hopefully they keep B2G1 on music CD's for the foreseeable future as well.

I tried it too and it shows up on the item and I pressed apply to cart, but when I checkout it isn't applied. I even read the terms of the deal to make sure it wasn't excluded and it isn't. Weird. Hope it works soon so I can get an order in

I wonder how we were both able to marry the same woman?

Just had to approve a second delay on the Afro Samurai steelbook I preordered. I'd cancel it if I knew another retailer had it available at a decent price. Anyone else order this from Target?

Going to repost the Black Friday ad later tonight or tomorrow. Not sure what happened with the original thread.

Deals are going appear less often from now on. I don't know what other states besides NY that require Target and Walmart to open up every returned movies. That's why I never return movies back to Target or Walmart in NY, because they simply open them and trash them. My cousin runs a precious metal recycling business but has connection to plastic recycling as well. He actually found a company that collects those movie trash. I even got a dozen cheap 4K discs that are in pristine conditions. They are telling me plastics are going to be a lot more expensive next year because of tariff wars. Did you read the cellophane on the back of the movie? The blue letters say Made in Mexico. Those will get taxed higher too. The chemicals needed to make plastics are from China, those will get taxed 60-120%. For a while recycling business is bad because it's hard to make money. Now those guys are thrilled that the stuff are going to go for a lot more money.

Yep. Tariffs are going to make media buying fun.
