Looking ahead to next week, Rock n Roll High School is preparing to ship, but Silent Night Deadly Night is backordered...

I think you can still get it from MoviesUnlimited with 25% off (MU24DEC) for less than the Target B2G1 deal, and it's more likely to arrive without damage, if that ding bothers you.

why would it be more likely to arrive without damage? it's coming from the same distribution center in Kentucky run by Alliance Entertainment using ravioli packaging for small quantities.

Still waiting for Riddick and Rock &Roll High School 4Ks, but both show preparing to ship. Great prices (I even got a $10 of $50 on top of the B2G1) and no cancellations. |

All of our target orders have been shipping from Ohio, not Kentucky. Which, Kentucky would be the closer and seemingly optimal distribution center if they use a distribution center their too.

well that's interesting...I wonder if alliance ships product to a regional target distribution center then, since they pretty much handle any movie distribution that isn't SDS.

Different contracts with that distributor can result in different handling and shipping. My copy of Galaxy Quest from MU came in a box with bubble wrap and was shipped with USPS. I also had it ordered from Target (should arrive tomorrow) and that one was shipped with UPS. We'll see how that one was packaged...

At big retailers, it's just always a gamble. It can sometimes just depend on the random person packing it. |

Lately all my movies with slipcovers have been arriving with the slips about 1/4 of the way off, as if when they shove the movies into the mailers the slips catch while the cases keep going further in, and whoever is putting them in doesn't notice or doesn't care. Surprisingly the slips aren't beaten to death.

If you were a Target employee and didn’t care about movies, steelbooks or slipcovers do you think they are really going to handle these movies with care as they shove them into the envelope?
You can argue about a person taking “pride” in their work but most could care less if the slipcover is crushed or ripped. I’m sure if they drop a steelbook, they’d just pick it up and put it into the envelope ding and all. As I’ve posted, we wanted online, we got online. The days of going to Best Buy and pulling all the movies out of its placeholder to look for the best slip or pulling all the steelbooks and examining every inch of what is visible, that’s OVER. and I’m guilty as charged of doing this sh!t. My Ghostbusters I and II steel from Walmart had a small ding. I opened it up, redeemed the codes and just kept it. At this point the damage has to be severe for me to return it. I should post a pic of a totally mangled bent Avatar Way Of Water steelbook that’s still sealed I bought in a record store for $3.Normaly if I paid retail for it I’d return it but I wanted it as a Best Buy momento since it had the Best Buy J-card and it was cheap. I know I’ve been a cheerleader for Best Buy but look at where we are now. People used to post oh I got a better deal at Target with B2G1 or I used Gruv 20% off and beat the hell out of Best Buy’s price. It pi$$ed me off the constant b!tching about Best Buy’s BF. Oh not cheap enough, oh why wasn’t this title on sale, oh terrible BF selection. OMFG! AND Best Buy would have held back stock for Godzilla Minus One Steelbook and had it available for store pick up at 12am pst Monday night! AND Tyrok would have given all of us the 411. I haven't browsed in Best Buy since they got rid of the video media. I've made plenty of electronics and video gaming purchases since then, but it's always been ISPU or shipping. I'm in and out with ISPU. |
