Target General Deals Thread

Of all the online Black Friday movie buying I did this year, I will say that Target was the quickest to deliver and received in the best condition. Had one issue with The Sixth Sense 4K, and they had a replacement delivered to me days before I even received other orders placed on the same day. Small win there.

Keep getting the same backordred/ approve delay message for:
1.Hush (4K/UHD)
2.Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In (4K/UHD)
3.Magnificent Bodyguards (Blu-ray)

All now estimated for Dec. 24th. On Christmas Eve? Good luck with that. Assume will be getting another backorder/delay notice before or shortly after. Probably will not get any of these three until sometime in January would be my guess based on my 4th delay now for all three titles.

Tough to beat Next Day Prime shipping.

I didn’t order many BF titles, but Amz won in speed and condition (over Gruv and Target). Gruv’s came surprisingly quick though if they indeed use MediaMail.

Target always seems to take about 5 business days. Then with popular preorders, I’m tired of the delay/ approve game.

Yeah, I've had 3 delays for MB in the last week alone. This may be the new delay champeen from 88 for me.

Since I didn't take part in the "4 purchases of $140 or more to get $40 reward" last time, Target has decided to offer it to me again. $40 is less than the tax I'd have to pay on $560!

My Target card expired because I pre-ordered it when it first hit the site. Target wouldn't simply let me update it to my current target card even after calling target and Red card customer service. It had been part of a previous b2g1 sale so I wanted to keep the order to save the discount.

They made it so difficult and left me no option but to just cancel it out of frustration. I got it at Movies Unlimited with their current 25% off code so at least it was closer to target's deal price.

Honestly just found these initially by going to 4K Movies and sorting by Newest, as I often do.

Funny enough, Amazon was dead last for me in terms of condition. Several with significant damage and their exchange process has become as cumbersome as it gets.

Prime has also slowed down significantly in my area. Pretty much on par with other major retailers standard shipping offerings now. I'll still occasionally get stuff within 2 days, but it's no longer the norm.

Fortunately, I didn't have any pre-orders with Target, but that seems to be a real issue.

Are you using the app or website?

I’m using the app. I type in “movies,” and that brings up movie categories from Target. I then select “movie preorders,” but doing it that way doesn’t show the Criterion titles. Weird!

I see…by going to the “4k movies” category and then sorting by newest brings them up. Just wanted to figure it out for the future.

This is my offer as well. I initially scoffed, but then I realized how many gift cards I need to purchase with the holidays coming up, and most of the 3rd party ones are eligible. So there's a chance I may actually complete this one (and possibly hoard a couple ebay gc's for myself to use on Sony or Gruv purchases).
