I'm not that crazy about the one-sheet for it, but I'm part of a group that commissioned an Under the Skin poster by a Spanish artist. It's getting ready to go to the printer soon... looks like it's going to turn out pretty great, but we'll see. I'll post pics whenever I get it.

Yep, that's the one. The foil and onyx paper should give the two different versions some very cool properties. I have to say I'm not 100% thrilled with the final version compared to earlier rough versions, but I'm confident it'll still be really neat once it's printed.

When I'm looking for posters and I view products from them they are reprints. I've never purchased from them so I cant comment on the product or service.

I just got some batman prints from mondo recently and put them in michaels' trendsetter frames. Does anyone know if the styrene plexiglass front is acid free? Anyone else use these for screen printed posters? The back has a cardboard backing with locking hooks. I've read that the cardboard has acid so I plan on buying acid free mating to put in between the print and the cardboard but I'm not sure whether to replace the plexiglass in the front. Im not trying to spend over $50 for custom framing. If anyone has any info on the plexiglass that would be helpful and if it isn't acid free if you know where you could buy a 24x36 sheet of acid free plexiglass or UV protective acid free plexiglass.

K5 is doing ok, as always he takes one step forward yet manages to then take three steps back Some day my inventory will be organized. Some day. Since I didn't win the Power Ball, I guess I need to keep at it. Hope all is well here too.

It's really hard to say, eBay is so full of reprints it makes it harder for collectors to find originals, but I think they sell original international styles, but honestly I don't know, it's getting difficult to vouch for anyone anymore selling posters, so much crap out there, but there are legit sellers out there, and some really good people in the industry. There are some good sellers on eBay too, some are connected with studios, others simply get a few from theaters and sell them.

Avoid cardboard at all costs. Unless you are putting up a reprint or an original with little to no value, cardboard is acidic and over time can stain the back of a poster/print. I am unsure about the plexiglass front being acid-free, I think you meant does it offer UV protection, right? I would say the plexiglass doesn't offer UV protection, but I could be wrong. I am unsure what those frames cost at Michael's (don't forget the coupon at times in the Sunday newspaper ads).

If you go and replace the plexiglass, to get UV protection it will end up costing you. You could ask a professional framer what they would recommend and charge you for a piece of UV glass, or even UV plexiglass and they could cut it down for you IF it doesn't come in 24x36 size but chances are it does It's worth a shot to ask and see what a professional framer in your area has to say.

There's a local shop that rents movies out, they sell off the posters for $2 a piece. I have a good hundred or so that I have acquired in the past five years.

Don't care for it all. I do generally like poster with lot of white or that are primarily light in colour as I think they 'pop' in a backlit movie poster box but I'm not much for this one at all.

Agreed, there is just too much white there. I'm not a fan at all.
