I was born in 1988, so I never had a chance to see it in the theater. I think I saw bits and pieces of it when NBC showed it uncut back in the 90s. I definitely remember the black and white Ford logo. I didn't see it in its entirety until my sophomore year of high school. It immediately became my 2nd favorite movie. I've lost count of how many times I've seen it. I had my older sister watch it with me a few years ago. She lost it when you see the girl in the red coat for the second time.

A great movie it is but reserving the top spots to Field of Dreams, The Shawshank Redemption, Dances With Wolves, and a few others in my book. ;-)

Picked up the new Ant-man final poster (bad design, I know) off ebay tonight for $20. The place that is selling it seems to sell a lot of promotional merch, so must be some kind of marketing-oriented business. They had the Star Wars posters but sold them for $140. Honestly, I'm going to wait for an actual picture design, not just words.

Could very well be someone who works for a theater, as they tend to get a lot of promotional stuff such as posters, midnight or special event prints, pins, shirts, etc. Any legit marketing company would not be selling that stuff as it would probably violate some sort of contract. The majority of those on eBay (but not all) are simply people who work at theaters or know someone who does. Condition and packaging are the essentials too.

Star Wars: Force Awakens teasers are insanely hard to come by, I managed to get a small amount in yesterday, $140 is considered a fair price as they tend to get $150-$200. While its a rather boring poster, its Star Wars + Disney...two incredibly hard properties to get when it comes to movie posters.

They are shipping in priority mail tubes with a poster tube inside, so it should come in ok (at least by my standards).

As for Star Wars, I'm prepared to probably never get any design as I won't spend that much on a poster. It's times like this that I miss my buddy who was GM at my local theater.

Good double-tube is nice always helps to have extra protection like that. Yeah anything Star Wars + Disney is going to be expensive. Hopefully they get Struzan out of retirement to do the final style artwork.

I love Star Wars, but I'd to agree about waiting for an actual final poster instead of the title of the movie. It's too plaim for me to drop $140 on it. I think the most I've paid for a poster is $125. It's expensive to buy UK quad posters here in the US.

I think a lot of people feel the same way, but also a lot of people were probably assuming the first teaser poster would be over the top and by all means it wasn't. But at the end of the day it is Star Wars, and the rarity factor certainly comes into play because Star Wars is one of the hottest franchises out there and Disney originals are very difficult to obtain, not counting the endless eBay stuff. My guess is they will get Struzan to do the final style, he hasn't done much since 2008 so perhaps he is itching to do more Star Wars work.

Slightly OT: but I was at Hobby Lobby and they're selling random 26x34 posters for $24.99 aren't those the same size of the reproduction walmart ones?

okay, back on topic: Does anyone use these? http://www.amazon.com/Poster-Aluminu...dp/B007NX4DNW/ I watched a vid on youtube and they look so easy to use and nice! i'm tired of my walmart frames that break with every little drop.

Are you sure you don't mean 24x36? That is the standard reproduction size you will find in mall stores, Walmart, etc.

Regarding frames, check your local Aaron Brothers Framing and Michael Arts & Crafts stores, and if you find something you like there (if there are locations in your area) check the Sunday ads, they both often have 30-40% off coupons in the paper.

Is this only available in 11x17? Seems to be a promo poster as well.

Yeah. Usually theater specific handout posters are 11x17. I can only think of a few posters I've gotten from AMC that are 27x40 or other sizes. I've never received a poster from Regal.

The TDK, Indiana Jones, Spider Man Trilogy, and Hobbit marathons are the only times I remember getting a full sheet.

Thank you for the reply. I may try to find a 27x40 reprint. I like this design a lot more than the standard theatrical poster.

There is a youtube video on turning that snap frame into a light box using led strip lighting all for around $100 total. I plan on making four of them eventually. I just noticed one customer says they can hold 27x41 inch posters as well.

I want one of those so bad! Sad part is, is that I'm the complete opposite of Tim 'The Tool Man' Taylor'. I'll probably just end up buying a completed one. I'd like to get more than just one! I need one in 30x40 and 27x40.

11x17 mini promo only for those who attended the midnight screening last Friday night exclusive to Cinemark Theaters I believe. Would have been nice if it had been the official one-sheet but it wasn't, and there aren't any official one-sheet sized versions of this, so if you purchase a bigger one, you are only adding to unofficial counterfeit crap on the market and the more people buy buy that, the more those sellers continue to do it. Just my two cents....

Regal Cinemas handed out an 11x17 but the imagery was the same as the one-sheet showing Hardy behind the wheel and Theron looking at you.Theater chains are getting into it now more than ever with exclusive mini posters to give out to get people to come to their theater to see a movie. Sometimes after a film has been out for a few weeks they will do a special one-day only mini poster or print to get people to come back to the theater to see it again or to get those who haven't seen it to come in.

That was the case for Avengers 2, Regal Cinemas had a special print which was only available for one day (May 9th) for those who saw Avengers 2 at select Regal Cinemas. Its actually a pretty nice print with matte and glossy highlights on it and is 13x19 inches on thicker cardstock paper.

When Karasotes opened up their IMAX here in Indianapolis, the first grand opening movie they showed was Spider Man 3. They handed out one of the most interesting posters I've gotten. It's a single sided glossy matte finish but with glossy raindrops that made it seem like the poster was wet. It's very nice! I still have it, but I wasn't really into collecting yet, so it's not in the best condition anymore. Tape is on the back and it's a little wrinkled. I look back at it and wish I would've kept it in better shape. A little TLC could make it all better!
