Why would Tywin try and undermine Ser Jorah as opposed to Ser Bariston? From the small council's perspective wouldnt they figure Selmy was the greater help to Dany? And as he is creating the evidence why would it be any harder to frame Ser Bariston as Dany was originally suspicious of him because he served King Robert?

Tywin outing Ser Jorah would provide Dany with an impetus to exile him in the television series. |

I understand why they couldn't go that route in the books, but man I wanted to see him beat the hell out of the Titan's bastard with a stick

You're right that it's chronologically accurate, but it's the furthest ahead story line by a mile. They would either have to significantly slow down her story over the next two seasons (definitely possible given how much happens to her) or else start showing Book 6 material.

Dan and David have already said the show was going to run for seven seasons, so that's pretty much a foregone conclusion. Even if they change their minds, and the show runs for eight seasons, I still expect her story to be in book six material by the end of next season.

OTOH, the Yara/Asha attack on the Dreadfort was DREADFUL. She gets them all pumped up for freeing Theon with an epic speech before they go all ninja on the castle, but when faced with an unarmed Ramsay and his two dogs, they're all, "Uh, we're good. We have to go now!" Pathetic. TLK ![]() |

But I also realize that they can't kill Yara/Asha and Ramsay at that moment, because it was just filler, and neither character can be killed off if they want to keep their story arcs similar to the books. TLK ![]() |

Also, I like how Davos bringing up Tywin's age and how long the Iron Bank thinks that the Lannisters will repay the crown's debt to them. It foreshadows Tyrion finding Tywin on the crapper in Episode 10, IMO. TLK ![]() Last edited by The Lizard King; 05-12-2014 at 11:46 PM. |
