I know his flying has been discussed but does Thor need to be holding Mjolrnir to fly or can it be attached to his belt or something? It might look odd with him holding it all the time ... if he indeed flies in this incarnation.

Who will Colm Feore and Adriana Barraza play?

Just checked IMdb and Joseph Gatt is playing Grundroth, a frost giant.

Here was some info posted earlier on his role:

*He’s a villain
* Action-oriented role
* Gives Thor lots of trouble
* Has scenes with Loki
* Has sweet weapons
* Is an Asgardian warrior
* He has an awesome costume
* He will attend Comic-Con 2010

From my understanding of Thor....

When Odin banished him to earth he was separated from the hammer, after leading a normal life on earth for years he then came into contact then he was reminded of who he was...

So the crater could be when he got banish to earth, and Thor got separated from the hammer.. with out Thor the hammer is just a heavy paper weight that no one else can lift...just my theory.

You've got to pay attention

It will be interesting to find out when we see Thor. Right now, I'm not convinced either way. If it is Thor, I will be very very impressed with Marvel's insane detail to intricacies. Of course, a VFX person could have just put it in there and nobody noticed
