It's don't-blink-or-you'll-miss-some-awesome AWESOME. Not afraid to be flashy and show off a bit, introduces MLAA which I hope becomes standard in future PS3 games.

haven't touched god of war 3 yet so its uncharted 2 for me. The game actually has some color which I appreciate.

In terms of actual visual polish, I think I'd be remiss without a write-in vote for MLB: The Show '10 as undoubtedly the most visually striking of all PS3 games. There are times when you just have to do a double-take to make sure that's not a real broadcast on your screen.

Heavy Rain has its moments, but the awful player-controlled character movement animations disqualify it in my opinion. MGS4's art design is just a little too brown/gray for my taste. FFXIII has good art direction and really crisp graphics, but gets penalty points for occasionally insipidly ugly level design.

I love me some inFamous, but it doesn't belong anywhere near this list. :/

Have to wholeheartedly agree with all of this!

I went with U2 as I haven't played GoW3 yet. However, all the games on the list have pretty great graphics IMO.

Only Final Fantasy and Metal Gear thus far. I have definite plans on God of War and Heavy Rain and a maybe on Uncharted.

Gow 3 so far, new ps3 owner and I love it, if mass effect wasn't a xbox only game I would sell my 360 instantly, not that I hate my xbox I just think the ps3 runs smoother. Although I am curious as to why some games that are 1080p on xbox are only 720 on ps3, like fallout 3: gotye .? If anyone knows a good article or why this is, let me know.

i own both uncharted and God of War III, The close ups on GOW III are insane, you can tell they put allot of work into the graphics of this game 10/10 on the graphic and gameplay lol.

Wow a surprise there Shin, I would have thought for sure you'd go with Uncharted 2 since we know how much you like the series.
Back on topic: I LOVE how god of war 3 looks but I still think U2 has a slight edge advantage. Very very close though

I havn't played Heavy Rain (only the demo) but the God of War series and the Uncharted series are both awesome. If you're gonna play GOW3 I would recommend getting the God of War Collection first, unless you played the first 2 during the PS2 days. And I definetely recommend both Uncharted games, they are my favorite video game franchise of all time.

Most of the games that claim to run at 1080p on either system don't run 1080p natively, they just run 720p and then upconvert. I don't have any good articles or links to provide

but I do remember hearing that Microsoft starting claiming that a lot of 360 games ran at 1080p on the game cases as a marketing ploy. Anyone else have anymore info on this topic?

Heavy rain had some good graphics, but there we're a lot of horrible looking parts that really take you out of the game, which is a big deal when you play a game like this!

i went with GoWIII and U2 is a close 2nd. But then somtimes i think back...MGS4 is stunning as well....its old news now....but i honestly think it can compete. FFXIII has stunning graphics as well....i would like to start playing both those games again...but MW2 keeps getting in the way.
