Seen this yesterday. I enjoyed it more than the first.

Saw it today and was pleasantly surprised. Not as strong a story as the first one but definitely funnier. The theatre both laughed and cried out "Awwwww!" in unison, and once again, the minions just rock, and they got a lot more screentime this time around and kept the laughs coming in a steady strem throughout. I'd say it's just as good as the first one. Definitely recommended! I'd rate it as a solid 8/10

I saw this on wednesday with the family and we loved it! Way better than Monsters University. My daughter wanted to leave all through the last 30 minutes of Monsters because she was bored. Granted my daughter is on the young side and she was a little scared near the end of DM2 but it was a great movie! Easily the best animated movie this year - I will definitely be buying it later!

P.S. - the 3D was REALLY GOOD!!! (I usually hate 3D)

Agreed. Used effectively and they saved most of the gimmickry for the end credits (which were great btw)

Gonna be seeing this in 2D tomorrow. Oddly enough they only have 3 or 4 3D showings, while it has atleast 10 2D showings. Don't know if that means people are seeing less 3D showings or what.

Probably just too many 3D movies out at the moment.

The times are really spread out. The first one is at 10:20am and the next 3D showing is at 5pm. So that's almost a 5 hour gap.

You could fit a showing of The Lone Ranger and Monster's Univeristy in between that time.

I'm gonna be see both The Lone Ranger and this tomorrow. I'll see The Lone Ranger First at 10:40am. And see Despicable Me 2 at 2:30 pm. I'll have a bit of time to kill between shows, so I'll most likely go get something to eat.

Looks like I'll be checking out Despicable Me 2 on Sunday. I've got Now You See Me lined up for tomorrow.

I'm using movie tickets for both. I got a $8 ticket for Lone Ranger and a $5 Ticket for Despicable me 2. So I think I'll only be spending like $6 for both tickets. Prices for a matinee just went up to $9. It should to be $8.50.

Matinee for me is $4.50 and regular is $7.00

That with student discount? I know student ones are far cheaper. It's $12.50 for a 3D matinee. So just imagine how much more it is out in LA.

That's not with discount? Damn. On Mon-Thru it's $9 until 5pm. But on Fri-Sun it's $9 until 3pm. And if a Holiday falls between Mon-Thur it's $9 until 3pm no matter the day.
