FRAUDS (1993) - Starring Hugo Weaving and Phil Collins (yes the singer/drummer) Its a really good dark comedy. I rented it on Laserdisc back in the day. Its never had a DVD or Bluray release as far as I can tell. I would love to have it at least on DVD. Look it up on IMDB if you have never heard of it. Great comedy.

In the US: The Wind (on laserdisc) remains missing as does The Student Prince (Lubtisch 1927, LD) The Wedding March (von Stroheim, 1928, VHS) Old Ironsides (1927, VHS) Running Wild (1927, VHS) The Covered Wagon (LD) Beau Geste (1926, LD) Hollywood: A Celebration of the American Silent Film (Brownlow, 1980, LD) and many, many more. On the other hand, DVD has brought many titles to the market that never would have made it on VHS or Laserdisc. I think it's a trade off. |

There are hundreds of titles on VHS, that's still not available on DVD. The movie I've been waiting for years to be released on DVD, or even blu-ray for that matter is: Looking for Mr. Goodbar. I don't know why, or what's preventing Paramount to release this movie on DVD!

The original broadcast version of The Point was narrated by Dustin Hoffman. The VHS and Laserdisc was done by Ringo Starr and the Disney Channel broadcast it narrated by Alan Thicke. I've only seen it Broadcast once in the original version in the last 20 years by PBS. Hoffman's version is the best and I recorded it on S-VHS and then transferred onto DVD.

It would be great if Disney would release the Disney Channel Original Movies on Blu-ray in volumes, with 5-10 movies each. |
