I would hope so but I doubt it. With The Flintstones the digital versions are the same master as the blurays. Yogi Bear is also another Warner show that's grain free digitally. I think they stopped with the different grainy digital masters years ago sadly.

According to the packaging on my copy that arrived today, there's no Portuguese audio or subtitles.

Yeah, I actually wasn't expecting a slip on this title either. Mine arrived from Target today and the slip is in pretty good shape, but it is a little crushed on the bottom corners.

Only English, French and Spanish audio with English SDH and French subtitles.

Is this info taken from the disc or just the back cover? I only ask because the DVD release from 2014 didn't mention portuguese options in its back cover, but it contains those. I was wondering if it would be the same case. Thanks!

if you're at all into Batman, I would recommend the 90s animated series over any other non-comics adaptation. Top-tier Batman

Whether you like light or dark in Batman versions, BTAS is the definitive adaptation of the character and the Bat mythos in any realm. There is no substitute. The entirety of the DCAU was spawned by it and still has never equaled this seemingly effortless watershed moment.

I hope this new BD isn't the usual Warner animation on disc crap because it wouldn't bode well for the Fleischer Superman release coming up.

I grew up with the VHS. I love the funky music on the end credits!

I really hate (yes, I'm a hater. Deal!) when they scrub the grain digitally on old animation. I believe they think it will make the cartoons more pleasing to young kids who are used to modern CGI animation, but it just doesn't work. It's the same with remastered old comics. It looks awful. the grain is part of the image. When those old comics and animations were created, the artists knew very well how they would look on paper or on TV, so they were drawn and colored taking that into consideration. Even in modern movies they realized that plain colors don't look good, just check the uniforms of Superman, Spider-man, Star Trek, etc.

I'm about a third of the way through the set. PQ is about on par with The Animated Series, meaning it looks serviceable but it'd obviously look better had WB left the grain alone. Can't say I've noticed any hiccups with the audio so far (IIRC captainsolo said one of the DVD episodes was out-of-sync).

Just got my copy today from DeepDiscount. I noticed the episodes on the Blu Ray are in a different order than how they were presented on the DVD release. Is there any significance to this (production order vs broadcast order) or something?

*edit* in doing some research online, it appears they got them in the correct order this time, as opposed to the DVD release.

I'm also hoping if they cleared the rightd to Superboy they will do a Filmation Superman BRD release in proper order with all the Superboy shorts in-between.

Also perhaps a proper Blu Ray of Aquaman & the other DC heroes (which were separate DVD releases).
